Drum Lessons in Grant. Amazing Teachers.

Experienced Music teacher of 8 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of their instrument and theory skills. I specialize in all styles. Typically, I use a variety of method books to pick from to meet the needs of the students. I also have many tools available to use during lessons.
My students have gone on to NYSSMA and on to college auditions successfully!

Drum lessons are unique with me, because the depth of knowledge in a variety of styles that I have gained from my education and life experience. Each student receives a differentiated curriculum to meet their specific needs; I do not use a "one size fits all" teaching method. I also have an ability to relate techniques, because of my performance experience, to real life musical settings.

My teaching method is based on all of the information that I’ve gathered from the past five years of studying at the Juilliard School in New York City. Drawing on this experience (as well as the practical experience of playing professionally for eight years), I have crafted a teaching method that addresses concepts which are applicable to all styles of music. With that being said, I treat each student with a singular focus, each lesson being crafted with their goals in mind. Within weeks, I can turn a person with no experience into someone who can play gigs, jam on their favorite songs, and get the most enjoyment and knowledge out of their drumming experience.

Drum lessons are unique with me because of my background with all percussion makes lessons flexible and fun. I tailor my lessons to the students wants and desires while also building their technical skill in all areas of percussion so they can play everything while excelling at what they enjoy the most. This makes a very fun and educational experience.

Lesson regiments are tailored to synthesize student goals and musical passions, setting a foundation in the instrument of interest.

Technique and practice-exercises provide the core for study and development (but we won't let that get in the way of the fun!).

My teaching philosophy largely derives from experience with master-drummers of different fields of study; therefore, my modality is a synthesis of concepts designed to ensure anyone's improvement. We all have rhythm!
