He explained drumming techniques very well, demonstrated patience while I got the feel of it, and taught me a wide range of rhythms in a short time. Michael is extremely well-versed in a number of drumming styles, and brought a variety of percussion instruments for me to try. 5 years ago I met Mike at Wiregrass Ranch High School, he was my drum instructor. I honestly could not think of anyone better than him to teach me. He constantly made sure I set goals and always did everything he could to give me the resources I needed to better myself as not just a drummer, but a musician as well. "Kevin asked pertinent questions about my background and used that information to tailor the first lesson. He went beyond the scheduled 30 minutes to provide a complete and coherent beginning to my studies: the extra time did not upset my schedule and I appreciated his going beyond to get me off to a good start. Kevin had a lot of stuff to present yet allowed me to interrupt with questions, which he knowledgeably answered. His personality is relaxed and friendly.
