I have over a decade of personal, professional, and academic experience that I bring to each private lesson setting. Every lesson will include high quality audio from my recording studio and high definition video with multiple camera angles! Personalized curriculum available for each student and instruction offered in piano, drums & percussion, music theory, and composition. I will teach the students how to achieve their goals in music.

I believe that an encouraged student is a successful student! I have been teaching students of all ages and abilities for over 20 years, and believe that anyone can have FUN learning to play the drums. As a teacher, I can give you the tools, technique, and confidence to achieve your drumming goals, whatever they might be. Whether you're just starting out or picking drums up again after a hiatus, I will work with you to create a customized curriculum to help you unlock your full potential. Drums are one of the most fun instruments to learn, and I am adept at performing and teaching all styles, from rock to jazz to everything in between.

I have played as a substitute drummer in the orchestra of the Off-Broadway show "Jersey Boys," and have also backed up Adam Pascal ("RENT," "Aida"), Christine Ohlman (vocalist for the Saturday Night Live Band), and Carolee Carmello ("The Addams Family," "Mamma Mia!"). Groove is everything! Drumming is far more about feel than it's about flash. If you want to be the drummer who is in high demand you need to have both feel and flash, but feel is something that is not common. It's easier to learn flashy antics than a meat and potato drumming foundation. I've been a professional musician for over 30 years in the studio and touring all over the US, Mexico, and Central America. I can teach you how to play with seemingly effortless technique, how to bring your internal groove monster out, how to improvise solos, and bring thunderous energy into your playing venues! Drum Lessons

My experience speaks for itself. From Drum Corp to being on tour to studio work to theater shows there really is not much I haven't played or taught, I focus a lot on how to practice because not many people really know how to practice the right way to get the most out of their performance.

Lessons are customized for the students based on their interest and experience. I will cover the basics and rudiments with new students but allow them to create and follow their own musical path using a variety of methods and musical styles.
