After a brief intro, Mike explained where're going with his lessons. I was having some problems getting my fingers near certain fret areas he wanted me to work on, so he very kindly placed some colors tape where I'm to put my fingers. That helped a lot. Been practicing an hour per day, & I'm getting a bit better daily. I've got a long way to go, but with Mike's help I'll get there. ELLIOT

Raycurt is not only knowledgeable, he is extremely skilled. He is thorough and maximizes time by providing superb instruction. My son looks forward to attending his classes; and I am a parent who is beyond pleased with Raycurt’s level of expertise.

This was a really unfortunate and wasted experience. Raycurt was wildly unprepared to teach. He brought a broken metronome and almost no sheet music/lesson plan. I had spoken both to the sales rep and Raycurt himself prior to the lesson and he was still fully unprepared.

I also explained my level of experience and was assured Raycurt was qualified to teach at the level I needed, but he came off as less knowledgable than me, which was particularly disappointing.

Worst of all, after multiple hours of speaking on the phone, I couldn't get my money back for this lesson.

I'd strongly recommend not using takelessons at all, they've put a horrible taste in my mouth for their entire service.

"Lets start off with Andrew, he is a great teacher. He is straight-forward when he needs to be, and doesn't beat around the bush. However he is highly considerate and friendly. As a high school student in a high competition area, my fellow percussionist lack guidance in terms of what to know about drums/percussion. I came into the year having bad technique, poor reading skills (reading music), and not a lot of confidence in playing in front of my class (solos required by school). Andrew was able to help me with all of those things. Also, i never feel rushed, and you can go at your own pace, yet some how there is always improvement. If your having any doubts, one lesson would clear those up. All in all, Andrew is a great teacher, and i look forward to continuing my lessons with him. "Mike was really the best instructor I could have asked for. Knowledgeable, patient, and best of all, chill when he needed to be. I was just picking up the drums for a high school band I was in at the time, and he was more than willing to help me learn whatever dumb song me or my band had decided sounded cool at the time. At the same time, he showed me a lot of really excellent practice techniques, directed me to some solid literature for different rhythms to work on, and would sit with me through a whole hour of my relentless mistakes like it was nothing.
