As one of Southern California’s most renowned teachers, I have been teaching for over 20 years and am known as a specialist in using state-of-the-art methods in developing vocabulary, command, and control of the complete drum set. Experienced drum teacher of 8 years, specializing in all levels and styles of Drumming. All ages 13+ years old welcome. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. You'll be playing songs in whatever style you prefer in no time. Jazz? Pop? Rock? You'll learn it! In addition to learning songs, you'll be getting a strong foundation in chart reading, sight reading, technique, and more. Let's get started!

Drumming for all ages and skill levels! Whether you are getting ready to play a show, getting ready for an audition, or are just playing drums as a hobby, I am here to teach you! With material from a wide range of sources i.e books, your favorite records, or videos from another drummer you idolize, you will master the art in no time. In my lessons you will learn to understand drum notation, read a drum chart, learn a song by ear and hopefully apply these to write your own songs! We will also cover concepts like stage presence so you can feel comfortable performing. Learning material in the drum shed is just half the battle, the other half is taking it to the stage and performing in front of an audience with your band. I am here to get those stage fright jitters out of your system so you can feel confident when you walk out on to that stage to rock.

Lesson regiments are tailored to synthesize student goals and musical passions, setting a foundation in the instrument of interest.

Technique and practice-exercises provide the core for study and development (but we won't let that get in the way of the fun!).

My teaching philosophy largely derives from experience with master-drummers of different fields of study; therefore, my modality is a synthesis of concepts designed to ensure anyone's improvement. We all have rhythm!
