I teach how to play with soul!
About Mike
*** Lesson Details ***
I am very enthusiastic and can teach students how to read. If they do not want to read music, they can learn to play by ear. I can also show them where to put their fingers. During piano lessons, I often accompany students on guitar and suggest a scale for improvisation, so they can play the blues. During drum lessons, I often play bass so they can learn to groove.
*** Travel Equipment ***
They should have their own instrument and a music stand.
*** Spec
I specialize in jazz improvisation on piano and guitar.
I also teach recreational guitar and piano for adults, including classical and blues styles.
I coach bass players and drummers in playing stylistically correct grooves for jazz, rock and latin music.

I'm a decent piano player who has lacked confidence in my play and music skills. I have just started to play Pipe Organ at my church and i needed someone's help.
Patrick's unlocking knowledge that I didn't realize was in my head and adding to it, the missing pieces in a way that no teacher has ever been able to do before (and I've had more than a handful of instructors for music). I have a degree in Music too.
He is Extremely patient and warm with a great sense of humor and compassion for any person over the age of 5. ( I believe he can teach around that age too)
Lessons are very well organized with just the right amount of information given out in any one sitting. He takes into account the goals and background of each client he works with and customizes what the focus will be. For me, I needed a immediate answer. I am not so patient. My lesson time is a slightly different than others. lol Sorry Patrick.
I am so grateful to study with and wholeheartedly recommend him to Anyone (professional to novice) searching for Organ /keyboard lessons with a teacher who will meet you where you are at and take you to the next level. Check him now!

About Phil W.

I currently direct music at a church where I play piano and organ. Please check out the rest of my profile for more details.
About Phil
I've had a successful performing career and have played twice at Carnegie Hall and in the National Conservatory of Music in Ecuador, just to name a few venues. I have recorded music, won song-writing competitions, and have had music published. While I still actively direct music at a thriving church, my passion is in teaching others the love of music.
I believe in teaching and focussing on the fundamentals of music, as it is often overlooked by many teachers. Once the basic skills are learned, musicians can apply the same skill sets to other literature.
I look forward to helping you develop your talent.
