Hi there!
I've been playing the Trombone for over 12 years, and bass trombone specifically for 3 years. I'm available for beginning Trumpet, Euphonium, and Tuba lessons as well. I can also help you learn theory, ear training, sight reading, composition, or arranging! As a music educator, I've learned how to adapt my teaching to fit various learning styles and modalities. My lessons are tailored to you to fit your needs and help you grow as a musician. Specializing in beginning to intermediate students, but all ages are welcome. My joy as a teacher comes from seeing others improve, and I want to help all my students reach their musical potential. Let's get started!

I am a certified music educator who has a passion for helping students reach their highest potential as learners through music. My educational philosophy is centered around teaching students skills, and not just notes and techniques. Through this skills they will learn how to grow as musicians and become better learners and problem solvers in the process. I will match the student at whatever their musical level is currently and help them achieve growth. I am very comfortable teaching music online and have learned many new and helpful skills over the past year.
About Kathryn
I am a passionate teacher originally from Eastern North Carolina, living in the Raleigh-Durham area. I graduated from East Carolina University in 2016 with a bachelors in Music Education specializing in instrumental music. My name is Jerry. I LOVE music and passing my knowledge on to others. I have played many different instruments in many different kinds of bands. It all one major thing in common, it was FUN! If you are not having fun while learning an instrument you won't want to learn. Lessons can be fun AND educational at the same time. I have had many parents tell me I'm one of the best teachers they have ever seen. (A couple of them were public school teachers themselves). I truly want my students to succeed and I will do everything in my power to help them accomplish that!
