I've been working with Trevor for just over a year. His teaching goes beyond just dry technique and theory to answer the question "why am I doing this?" When you work with Trevor, there is purpose behind everything you do. He starts with your big picture goals and breaks them down into actionable steps that you can take feeling like it's going somewhere. This makes for way more efficient and exciting practice sessions. If you don't know exactly where you want to go with your playing, Trevor will help you find that as well.

Trevor is an amazing teacher! He works with you to make a plan to learn whatever interests you. I can bring in any kind of music or style of playing and he will help me learn all of the elements. He is happy to go as far into theory as you want or stay more high level. Also has been very helpful in transitioning from learning tunes to writing and recording my own songs. Highly recommend.

Trevor and I worked for about 3 months preparing for my audition that would decide if I was accepted into Berklee College of Music. He was very helpful and made sure I was well prepared for my audition. I continued to take guitar lessons with Trevor after my audition to prepare for music school. He is very helpful and I have learned so much from taking lessons with him.

Experienced composer/arranger here specialty in Jazz. I have been a leader of my own group for over 10 years with many different players and various size of the group from duo, trio to big band, and orchestra.
Do you need to arrange a song for your group and need to put them in part and/or score to rehearse/play? Do you want to compose a song and sing for your lover for anniversary?
I can make that happen and will give you some tips for ensemble skills as well.

About Junewon
Junewon has been performing very actively nationally and internationally. He was a finalist of Wilson Center Guitar Competition in 2016. As a leader of ‘June Trio’, awarded Research Enhancement Funds from Michigan State University, he performed in Bucharest, Romania with an invitation for a semi-finalist of International Bucharest Jazz Competition 2015. In 2014, he also played at National Academy For the Performing Arts in Trinidad and Tobago.
While he was pursuing his Master of Music Degree in Jazz Studies at Michigan State University, he served as a Teaching Assistant, and he was a member of Bebop-Spartan, the Jazz Orchestra I, directed by Rodney Whitaker. He played and recorded worldly renowned jazz musicians, such as Joe Hunt, Christian McBride, Jeff Hamilton, Antonio Hart, Jon Faddis, Mark Turner, Ben Street, and Peter Bernstein to
name a few.
Ever since he started to form his own group to play for the public, trio has been his most favorite ensemble. He played with his trio many times at different venue in Boston, while he was attending Berklee College of Music. Also he was a featured jazz artist at Club Bohemia, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

That bone crushing riff, the iconic solo, an instantly recognizable reverb-laden intro: everyone has guitar hero fantasies, and it's my goal to bring students from 'if only I could play that' to actually playing. But I go further than just teaching riffs and solos: I focus on learning songs and teaching basic chord and scale theory to develop technical ability and improvisational technique. I also believe learning is exponentially easier when students enjoy the songs they play, so ideally all learning material is based off of the student's individual music library. I aim to help you get that song out of your head and into your hands.

About Cole
I'm a student at Washington University by way of Chicago. I currently play bass in a jazz combo on campus, and also trade off roles as guitarist and bassist for a house band for a sketch comedy show. I've been playing for over ten years, and have been teaching lessons back home for the last three.

I spent the last four years working for Reverb.com, the world's largest online musical instrument marketplace, where I contributed guitar-related web content and served as an authority on vintage guitar knowledge.

About Jamie
Hey! My name is Jamie Bekyarovich. I’ve been playing Guitar since I was 11 years old and have loved every second of it. Although I’m primarily a rock musician, I take pride in being able to play and teach many different musical genres from Rock N’ Roll, Heavy Metal, Jazz, Classical, Blues, Acoustic, Pop, and Funk.
I went to a music oriented high school, I’ve played in a multitude of different bands.
I also have a diploma in applied music from Mohawk College’s Contemporary Music program where I studied Jazz guitar, music production, and teaching methods.
I have 6 years of teaching experience including freelance work, and institutional work, as well as 8 years experience recording and mixing music.

In my experience teaching it’s become completely clear that every student is different. They learn differently, have different goals, mus
ical tastes, aspirations, and all face different obstacles and challenges. For this reason i do not teach a standard curriculum. I like to customize each student’s learning experience to best suite their individual needs. I find that by doing this, students retain their interest and love for music, they start setting and accomplishing goals, and as a result become not just a more confident musician, but a more confident individual. Once students start setting goals for themselves and accomplishing things they thought they never could, they begin to realize that you can do anything you put your mind to as long as you work hard, believe in yourself, and never give up.

Guitar lessons are all online and accepted from anywhere in the world (English speaking only), Im currently working on setting up multiple camera angles for the best possible experience.

For best experience weekly lessons are recommended.

[ Make Up Lessons:
Every now and then I may need to reschedule one of our lessons around a gig or recording session, but I try my very best to avoid doing so. I’m also understanding when students need to reschedule a lesson]

Feel free to ask any other questions you may have.

[Things to think about before our first guitar lesson (I will be asking you these questions either before or during our first lesson)

1. Who are some of your favourite musicians/bands? - What are some of your favourite songs?
2. Do you have any experience playing guitar?
3. What are your aspirations? (Hobbyist? Rock Star? Campfire Guitarist?)
4. What would you like to be able to play on the guitar by this time next year?]

Things to think about before our first Pro Tools lesson.

1. Do you have any experience recording music?
2. Do you have any experience inside of Pro Tools.
3. Find 3 recordings(songs) where you absolutely love the production.

My 12 year old daughter took guitar lessons from Jamie as part of the Mohawk College student/teacher after school program. She had no experience when she started and after 4 months she was already playing along to her favourite Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift songs. She always looked forward to her weekly guitar lessons!

Jamie's been coming to my house once a week for the last 8 months. I used to play guitar when i was a teenager and decided to take it up again as a hobby since my kids have gone off to University and i have some free time available to me.
At first we worked on relearning the chords i had forgotten, after a couple of months we started learning some Neil Young and Leonard Cohen songs. Im very pleased, never in my life until now have i been able to play a full song from start to finish!
Thanks Jay - See you on Thursday!

Ive been taking lessons from Jamie for almost 3 years now and I couldn't be happier with the results! When i first approached him for lessons I was already a fairly decent guitarist but i was having an extremely hard time playing and making my own solos, I told him exactly what i wanted to be able to do and he tailored made each lesson to my goals. He helped brake down the process of learning a guitar solo AND improvising my own solos. Some of the areas we covered we're technique, theory, lifting solos by ear, and how to execute musical phrases with complete confidence.
10/10 would recommend! ...This guy's a beast!

I enjoy giving lessons tailored to each student's needs and goals. From those who have never picked up a guitar to those who are auditioning for a major music college, I love to help others learn how amazing the guitar is.

My style is geared toward the individual, but I do specialize more in teaching: songwriting on guitar, music theory on guitar, developing great technique, how to read notes and tab on guitar, and learning my student's favorite songs and adapting them to fit their skill level.

I have been teaching guitar for over twelve years, and have professional songwriting experience (over 50 compositions published), band and recording experience (major radio-play in America and Europe), and I am classically trained and have a degree in music.

Let me help you achieve your music dreams!

About Logan
I love music, and have spent most of my time practicing the art. My main goal for any student is to get to playing the things they like. Everything that a player needs to learn for the style fits in during the lessons, and whether it's me teaching or not that is the journey of playing guitar. Whether you're a first day student or a seasoned player, I've probably taught someone just like you before. I especially love teaching theory and fretboard logic, but I can help you learn whatever you're looking to take on.

With every student, I create a specific path for you that gives you what you're looking to learn (aka what got you excited about picking up the guitar in the first place) along with the essentials to help make your journey as smooth as possible. If there isn't quality tab readily available, I'm down to transcribe the tune for you and I guarantee you'll laugh and enjoy yourself (at no extra charge of course).

About Dave
I've been playing the guitar for over 23 years now and teaching for over 18. In 2006, I received his BA in Jazz performance from U-Mass Amherst and since then I've performed anywhere from local bars and cafes, in pits for musical theater, as a show band musician for Carnival Cruise Lines and has even been fortunate enough to have played with James Taylor and Nigel Hall.

In college, I started teaching to make some spending money and quickly realized it was a passion of mine. After college I took a slight hiatus between teaching conversational English in France and the whole Cruise ship thing, but once I made it back to land, I began teaching for a local music school, music store and the local community college as well before I decided to move to Denver in 2013. Since then I've taught for several local music stores before I finally opene
d up my own operation which is now known as dB's Sound Education based out of Flipside Music. I also perform locally with Pandas and People.

My 11 year old has had weekly guitar lessons from Dave for two years now.
Her knowledge and confidence in playing the guitar, has greatly improved. Dave gets all the credit for that.
He works well with her, is communicative, and is as flexible as he can be, even last minute.
I have, and will continue to recommend Dave to anyone interested in taking guitar lessons
