Los Angeles, CA Blues Guitar Lessons

I teach all sub-genres of blue...Texas, Chicago, Jump, slide, jazz-blues, and blues/rock. I have been teaching this style for 15 years.

I am very patient and adjust areas of study to fit my students goals.

With each one of my students, I take into account how much time they are willing to practice, what genres interest them, and what learning style works best. I then come up with a structured lesson plan that is specifically catered to their needs.

we'll cover topics more in depth and teach you about soloing, rhythm playing, and other tips to play like the pros. So choose the lesson that interests you and start learning to play blues guitar.

Each lesson is designed on the level of the student's ability from beginner to advanced. Rock, R&B, funk, jazz, blues, POP and country music. I like to use song learning as a vehicle to sharpen your skills. Learning skills through songs is more fun for beginners. More advanced students will work on everything from theory, reading, harmony; and how you can use scales and arpeggios in a number of ways over several different styles of music.

I want to have you walking out of the lesson happy, and excited to go home and practice some new material. With me you'll learn about guitar, but you'll also learn about music and how playing can help you in life (perseverance, basic math foundations, etc.)

As a music producer, mix engineer and artist, I understand the need for proficiency as well as the artistry. My approach to teaching is customized to each individual as we are not all the same. I pay close attention to how each person learns and work with what the student can excel in. When needed we will do drills or work on theory or break down your technique to overcome any obstacles. With my industry expertise, I can help you become a proficient musician and help develop your style and artistry.

I have earned a Bachelor's Degree from Berklee College of Music, in Boston, MA. While there, I received extensive training in performance, composition, and music production.

I am currently working as a private instructor for students of a wide range of ages and experience levels. I am proficient in many music styles, and have a in depth understanding of music theory and ear training.

I own a music production business where I work with professional artist to record and produce their music, and make them achieve their greatest possible sound

Besides all that, I love to teach. I have been blessed with many great music teachers who have inspired me and influenced my life. I am glad to be offering the same opportunity to my students, while helping them grow artistically and develop a deeper love of music.

BEGINNERS:LEARN TO PLAY THE FIVE BASIC CHORDS WITHIN THE FIRST FEW LESSONS ON THE GUITAR. THEN LEARN HOW TO STRUM AND CHANGE BETWEEN CHORDS SO YOU CAN LEARN TO PLAY YOUR FAVORITE SONGS.

INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED STUDENTS: I CAN DEMYSTIFY THE GUITAR NECK, TEACH YOU SCALES , SOLOS AND TECHNIQUES OF YOUR FAVORITE GUITARISTS IN ANY STYLE.

Whether you want to learn music theory, songwriting, music production, mixing techniques, improve your improvisational skills, or just shred peoples faces off, I'd love to help you get there. I've found the best way to inspire students is by showing them that they can play the songs they love (and learn theory and technique along the way)

At Beginning Guitar Los Angeles, I focus on the student as a person and as a musician and how music effects them in their everyday lives. I offer a creative environment in which children feel safe, expressive and free to be themselves.
