His flexible teaching style was responsive to my musical growth and interests. As we went, Andy sprinkled in some easy to understand music theory. I learned a lot of my favorite songs (including several out of the mainstream). He worked with me to adapt songs written for guitar to banjo. He also helped me to pick quality instruments that were right for me and my budget.
Highly recommend!

I appreciate the fact that Ray was so open in sharing the fact that many of his students underestimate the importance of regular practice. I whole-heartedly agree. Since we share the same philosophy and approach, this is the start of a great relationship. (Can't give it 5 stars though, solely because of the traffic. The lessons are worth the trip!)"
