About Nick
I am a 28 year old, energetic teacher of almost any instrument, with my main instrument being trumpet. I have my masters in jazz studies from UNT and have been teaching since 2008! As a performing musician in the DFW area my goal is to help students understand how music works, develop great practice techniques, and create a hobby or profession that will last a lifetime.

*** Lesson Details ***
Each lesson is an hour long consisting of several different parts to help students to understand music from several different view points.
- First we engage in some guided listening to broaden our perspective of music and learn about the history of music.
- Second we work on fundamentals that help us to play music. This is like learning the alphabet before you learn to spell. We don't skimp on this part!
- Third we work our mind from a the
oretical approach to understand the math behind how music works.
- Finally we spend the last third of the lesson applying all of this knowledge to a solo, song, or lesson book.

*** Equipment ***
Students should have a stand and their instrument for our first lesson. After the first lesson we will pick a book, song, or solo based on your level.

*** Specialties ***
Jazz Improvisation/Performance
Classical Materials
Beginners
Theory
Solo Preparation
Audition Prep.

**Currently accepting new students of all ages and instruments.**(8/9/17)

As a professional brass musician, I have been teaching brass instruments for over ten years.

For the beginner level, I have introduced many students to their first instrument ensuring that fundamentals are in place. As a collegiate educator, I have given masterclasses at universities and private lessons to music performance students preparing for auditions and solo recitals.

I have taught online lessons for over four years and have used multiple online communication platforms to teach effective lessons. My students truly enjoy the online interaction during their lessons.

I have taught a wide variety of ages - everyone from 10 years old to 65 years old. One of the great joys I have in teaching is that each student brings their own unique strengths to a lessons. My goal is ...

Pasquale was excellent. He evaluated how my son blew into his trombone, and made the necessary corrections. It was exactly what we needed. He was very friendly and encouraging, and gave us specific tips on how to practice. I am so grateful we found him.

I was homeschooled all of my life up to freshman year of high school. I knew how to play the drum set by teaching myself so I played along with songs and just did what felt right. I joined band freshman year under the direction of Jayme. I had never ever read any kind of music or rhythms or anything. By senior i had qualified for two 1's at state solos, a 1 for a state percussion trio, District Symphonic band, and colleges offering me scholarships.

One year later of her teaching and I made it into the SCKMEA District Band. Two years later I made it into the Kansas State 1234A Band two years in a row. I could never have accomplished making it into these bands and more without the help of Jayme. She is a great, caring person who really puts her all into music and you personally.
