I've played guitar since I was only eight years old (over 20 years!) in many different bands, styles, and genres. I played in a traditional Irish ensemble when I was in college and have since picked up banjo, mandolin, harmonica, and bodhran (an Irish hand drum). I love playing and teaching bluegrass music, it's a special challenge both for me and the students!

About Gio
I studied music at UCF (Orlando), focusing on classical and jazz guitar, but I also have years of experience playing rock, blues, folk, hip-hop, and musical theater on both guitar and drums.

I have been teaching guitar, drums, and piano for about eight years to students of all ages. Music is what I'm passionate about and it's what I enjoy. I want to inspire that same passion into the hearts and minds of others.

*** Lesson Details ***
I am a laid-back teacher, fun, and I focus on the needs, abilities, and ambitions of the student. In turn, students must realize that learning an instrument takes a lot of work and dedication. One can't expect to learn very much if s/he only practices or thinks about the instrument during the lesson. If the student is willing to put some time into practicing, then I will help them go far!

*** Studi
o Equipment ***
I have several guitars, a drum kit, djembe, mandolin, clarinet and full-size keyboard.

*** Specialties ***
Guitar: Classical, jazz, American or Irish folk, rock and pop; lead or rhythm.
Drums & Percussion: All genres
Piano: Classical (includes sight reading)

I've been teaching guitar for more than 18 years. I've taught more than 30,000 guitar lessons. I like to work out of the Hal Leonard books with beginners. With intermediate to advanced players I create a learning path with the student that will allow the student to accomplish their goals. With my guitar lessons I can cover every aspect of guitar. I like to focus on chord knowledge, scales, music theory, arpeggios, rhythm playing, sight reading, songwriting, soloing, etc. I teach all genres but my main wheelhouse of playing would be rock, metal, pop, blues, jazz.

About Christopher
My name is Chris Rupp and I'm a guitar instructor and founder of the Guitar Training Camp and the Guitar Training Camp Online. I am currently teaching live Skype lessons to students all over the world. I'm a Berklee College of Music graduate and have been teaching guitar full time for over 19 years. I have taught more than 30,000 individual guitar lessons.

*** Lesson Details ***
Your lesson plan will be tailor made for what you are interested in learning. I can teach you from books or you can create your own path by choosing things you need to improve upon. Below is a list of some things I teach my students.

scales: major, minor, modes, advanced scales, pentatonic scales, chord tones, arpeggios

music theory: understanding scales and how to use them to figure out your diatonic chords, improvise, write a melody, harmonize, etc.

sight reading: learning how to read music on the staff really helps you understand the vocabulary of music along with giving you the ability to read a piece of music

reading tablature: learn how to read guitar tablature and understand all of the symbols

rhythm studies: understanding how to strum properly and read rhythms

improvisation: learn how to solo like your favorite guitar players and create your own solos

chords: learning your open chords, barre chords, triads, seventh chords, other advanced chords.

songs: learn the songs you want to play

your choice: you can choose what you want to learn. you don't have to just learn the above topics. you can create your own areas of study so you get the most out of your lessons for your particular needs.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Eric Johnson signature strat, Fender American strat, Gibson Les Paul, Epiphone Les Paul, Guild acoustic, Line 6 Variax bass, Lanakai ukulele, 2 custom guitars built by one of my students, I'm recording with Reaper and Bias Amp2 Pro and Bias FX Pro.

We are very pleased!

My 8-year-old daughter started taking guitar lessons with Chris about a year ago. Chris has made learning music a fun, yet effective, process. Our daughter is learning how to read music, play the notes across all of the strings / fret board, and build chords (and not just how to read guitar tabs). We have not had to encourage our daughter to practice - she loves to play. She even played for her music class at school!

Chris is prompt and professional with his communication.

We hope your experience will be as good as ours has been!

Knowledgeable, Friendly, & Reliable

I'm a working professional, and have been taking guitar classes with Chris for over a year now. My understanding of the guitar, and ability to play have improved dramatically ever since I've taken classes with Chris. Chris is extremely knowledgeable about the instrument, and his accessible style of teaching make learning a true pleasure. Chris also works very hard to fit lessons into my schedule - which has been absolutely wonderful. I look forward to continuing my lessons with Chris for many years to come.

I started playing acoustic guitar when I was seven years old. I have been playing and teaching mostly bluegrass, old time, Irish, blues, and swing jazz styles for many years. I have taught both privately and have also done various workshops at festivals. I have taught guitar multiple years for instance at the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival in PA.
My students learn to have fun with music. Students can work on rhythms, melodies, improvisation, song writing, getting into and/or hanging on in a jam session, etc.

About Tara
I have a Masters in Education as well as having spent many years performing, teaching in one on one and group settings both privately and at music camps and festivals. I play and teach bluegrass, old time, Irish, and swing jazz styles. I like my students to really enjoy playing music and their lessons as well as learning to become fluent in the language of music. It is not required that folks learn to read music necessarily, but it can be a part of the lessons if desired. I love to see my students able to continue learning and playing on their own, be able to hold their own at jams and on the stage is they so desire, or just enjoy making music for themselves. I have techniques that have proven effective to help get past jam phobia, that help folks learn to improvise who have not had any luck with doing so before, and help getting away fro
m sheet music addictions to be able to have fun and confidence out at jams. I also can give a good foundation in music theory as it applies to one's actual playing and have it be fun and make sense.

See "Guitar" for more information

Similar to learning acoustic guitar but with more emphasis on the common bluegrass picking techniques, chord progressions, and various scales.

Emphasis on improvisation when dealing with the lead aspect of bluegrass music.

About Christian
My name is Christian L. and I am a 28 year old guitar/music instructor in the Orlando area. My interest in guitar began when I was 12 years old and blossomed into a full time obsession about 3 years later when I started playing small gigs as a solo guitarist playing simple jazz and classical pieces for small art clubs and events. Alongside gigging, I also began teaching guitar, ear training, and music theory when I turned 18 and have been teaching full time ever since. During that time I also spent 4 years in music school for classical guitar. Currently I spend my time teaching, recording, and performing various styles including rock, jazz, pop, hip-hop, musical theater, metal, and country.

Throughout the 8 years I have been an instructor I believe I have refined my teaching style to be as versatile as possible to accommodate any learn
ing style a student may have. I am capable of teaching all styles of guitar at any skill level with an emphasis on ear training and general knowledge of guitar techniques.

Slight disclaimer in regards to lesson length, price, and student interest:

Over the past year or so I have tried a new teaching structure that I find to be quite rewarding for myself and the students I have had. My lessons do not have a maximum time limit, meaning a lesson could go for 2 hours, if that is what the student wanted, for the same price as a 45 min lesson.

This may sound strange in that I would be losing out on a large amount of potential money but the simple answer is this: I love music and guitar as well as teaching music and guitar. If we are in the middle of a great topic that you, the student, is really interested in, there is no way that I am simply going to stop talking about it when the "timer" stops and there is no way I am going to charge you more for getting into a topic you want to learn.

I find that students who spend more time in the lessons tend to become more interested in guitar and thus, better at playing. I do have to instill a minimum time limit of 45 mins however, any less is honestly just not enough time to get anything worth while accomplished.

One last thing, music and guitar have made up the majority of my daily routine for the past 10 or so years and have literally paid for everything that I currently own as I have never had any other type of job. What this means is that I take the craft very seriously and I project that in the lessons. Basically, if you are genuinely interested in learning guitar and music at any skill level, I will show you everything I possibly can to let you meet your goals. However, if you do not take it seriously, as in you don't pick up or even think about the guitar except for lesson days, the lessons may quickly feel pointless.

For more information on what I teach, feel free to look into the category entitled "Guitar" as well as any of the other subcategories that you are interested in.

He has been proactive, supportive and will go beyond time constraint in order to take advantage of the moment and accomplish the goal of each lesson.
So far, a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

Wow wow wow. I had my first lesson with Christian, and he absolutely blew me away. Super talented musician. He has such a wealth of knowledge of the fretboard, musical theory, and different genres. I am into prog rock/metal and blues. I’ve never taken lessons before, and do not know scales or many chords, and christian identified exactly where to start off. He broke it down to a science and completely demystified the guitar. In small bite sized chunks we went for over two hours. It was a proper class with 1 on 1 personal attention. He is approachable with any question, and helps you understand the WHY of things, not just how to do something, which gives you such a stronger foundation to build off. I cannot wait for the next session.

Caleb has taught me so much in only five lessons! I now can play 4 songs that I love, and I'm getting a great refresher course on music theory. He's super patient and sets very realistic expectations. I really like that he cared to ask me what songs I liked and would like to learn instead of starting with generic songs like 'twinkle twinkle' because it gave me more motivation to practice and learn. I can't wait to learn more!
