I have played guitar for almost 30 years and I've done concerts, performances and lectures in different states and also internationally. My biggest influences are Paco de Lucia and Tommy Emmanuel and I enjoy teaching guitar to any levels, ages and styles. My goal is to make sure my student will enjoy guitar lessons not matter how long it takes.

I am also the current guitar professor at Union College, Music Art Ambassador for Nebraska Arts Council, Guest teaching artist for John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and Teaching Artist in Residence for The Lied Center.
I love sharing my knowledge and experience with my students. I like to see the progress of my students and how they grow into their music skills no matter the age.

20 years experience in private teaching, 15 years as Head of Juilliard Pre-Colkege Guitar Program. I use my own method and love teaching all level and ages of enthusiastic students. I specialize in Classical, Tango , Spanish and Sounth/Latin American Music.

I have studied Flamenco for over 20 years. During that time, I've had the opportunity to perform with many of the top artists in the Bay Area, as well as study with masters from Spain.

I have studied all of the parts of the art form to varying degrees: toque, cante, baile, palmas, cajon, but my areas of specialization would be toque (guitar) and cante (singing).

While very much a student of music/guitar, I believe I can help a lot of folks with their own musical journey and learning process!

With over 200 articles & 50 videos on learning guitar and music, playing guitar for 30+ years, gigging for over 15+ years, and have composed/created/recorded music in a variety of styles, I can help many aspiring guitarists.

Besides the guitar, I am currently learning drums, congas, bass, piano, violin, viola, cello, bass flute, and singing. In other words, while I l started learning guitar along time ago, I am very familiar with many aspects of the musical learning process!

I typically use "The Art of Flamenco" by Juan Martin or Hal Leonard. These are great books that break down the flamenco techniques so the student can obsorb them easily. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!
