I combine the styles of music that you prefer with some kind of method book for reading and theory. No purchasing of music is required. Normal lessons start with the previously assigned material, determining what we need to work on, new material, and ending with things to do at home.

Sean was a great teacher. I asked him if he knew how to teach Bollywood style Violin and even though he didn't he took the time to study it and learn just to teach me. I really appreciate that he was so open to trying so hard for his students. I think Sean is great!
Marc T.
Great first lesson. High hopes for follow lessons.

I self-taught myself guitar over 35 years ago; mostly forgotten. Sean began with establishing goals that would meet my goals. The feedback to me during the lessons was focused and delivered in a friendly manner. Progression was enhanced due to his manner and his approach to teaching. While this was the first lesson, I am looking forward to future lessons.

Karen is an incredibly skillful teacher. She is very passionate about music and it easy to be comfortable with her. She shares her training and knowledge very clearly. The vocal exercises seem very unique and holistic for body and voice health. She is very encouraging, caring, and soul-uplifting. I feel like I have a new connection with my voice and all that is connected to using it... as an instrument and the journey is only just starting. 45 minutes went by so fast. I am looking forward to my next lessons.

I thought I wanted to take viola lessons. Then I read her website and I realized that she might be able to help me get my voice back! I thought there was no hope ever. She has been extremely generous with her time, and I haven't seen her yet, but I'm not buying the viola I was planning on buying. I play cello, and piano still, but I am going to see if she can help me with my voice. She sounds incredible. I never dreamed that I could even have HOPE like this!

About Gabriel

Most beginners I’ve encountered have no idea what they want to play or even why. my suggestion is before coming to your teacher pinpoint the what and the why. Why did you want to learn guitar? Was it a song, or a really cool sounding riff? Did you see someone play live and feel like “I could do th

My students will have the opportunity to learn music theory and perform their favorite songs from any genre in my lessons. Throughout my 27 years of playing the guitar and 17 years of teaching it, I have learned that patience and practice are what defines a great guitarist. During my lessons, the student will not be rushed, and they will not feel uncomfortable nor nervous in my setting. Overall, their time will be used effectively when they are with me. Understanding is one aspect, but practice completes the process. A student has to practice at home as well. They will be provided practice sheets or online exercises to help them achieve that effectively.

"Had some platform issue to start even though I'd prepped and tested days in advance, called Ben and patiently got me onboard. He let the lesson go on for extra time to make up for the glitch at the start. In the lesson, he has patience with beginners and still covered a LOT of new techniques (new to me anyway.) Got me psyched up to learn. Already looking forward to next lesson."

"I've been studying Flamenco Guitar with Ed for almost 2 years. He is a talented teacher and performer. My wife dances flamenco in a group that Ed plays guitar for, and I was always impressed with Ed's music, so when I finally took the plunge and chose to start guitar lessons, I knew who to go to. Learning flamenco is one of the hardest things I've ever tried to undertake, but it is super fun and rewarding when these difficult skills start to stick. Ed is patient and knows how to push me just a little bit past my comfort zone so I actually make progress."

"David is an excellent teacher. I've been taking flamenco guitar lessons with him for about a year now and have experienced a significant improvement in terms of actual playing and rhythmic abilities and also understanding the music in general.

David is patient, he does an excellent job explaining things and goes above and beyond to make sure that you're really learning. Consistently impressed."

"My son Robert has been taking guitar lessons with Diego for over a year now. Lessons were taking place at Diego's premises until we moved back to our country. Robert totally refused to work, or even consider the possibility to work with any other teacher besides Diego. Ever since our return, Robert has been taking his weekly lessons over Skype.

Diego is professional, talented, deligent, patient, caring, well prepared, well knowledged, knows how to prepare and challenge his students and most importantly, puts his students interests first.

There are no words I can use to explain the joy my son has when he takes his lessons and when he finishes and performs one of Diego's flamenco pieces, nor can I explain his anxiety when waiting for his lesson to begin. Diego is truly a great teacher and mentor to his students and I strongly recommend him to be the guitar teacher of choice."

"I took the beginner class and I was amazed by how far I progressed with Ahmad's instruction. My friends who play guitar had told me that they spent months just learning to play chords before they were able to play songs. But by the end of the four week class I could play not one, but *three* songs.

Ahmad has a well-thought-out curriculum that introduces music theory and chord concepts in a way that helps you understand what's happening musically while being able to apply it to actual songs. He has printouts and online videos to help you review if you forget something from class. He also gives you good strategies for practicing effectively. And finally, his excitement for music is infectious. One of the hardest things for me is staying motivated to practice, but that's a lot easier when I can see that I'm progressing toward being the guitarist I want to be with every lesson.

I've taken music lessons from a lot of different musicians in my lifetime (piano, violin, voice) and while they were all skilled musicians, none were as skilled of teachers as Ahmad. If your experience is anything like mine, you'll learn more faster taking lessons here than anywhere else."

"I have been studying Spanish Guitar with Ed for 3 or 4 years and he is one of the best instructors I have ever worked with. He is a gifted player and performer and his work ethic and professionalism as an instructor are unmatched.

I am probably one of Ed's more challenging students due to my hectic schedule which interferes with my practice time but we have covered a lot of ground studying basic techniques and styles such as Flamenco, Rumba, Bulerias, Sevillanas, and Tango. Ed is always prepared and is uncannily able to pick up our lessons exactly where we left off the week before. He is able to diagnose problems with technique and work with me to correct them and suggest practice methods to improve technique and the musicality of the performance. Fortunately I have many technical issues so Ed will be gainfully employed for some time on my account!

Ed performs regularly and has a large repertoire in popular music as well as flamenco guitar. I have seen him perform with a flamenco dance group and he was brilliant. I asked him to perform at a small event I helped organize and his performance was enjoyed by all. I highly recommend Ed as a flamenco guitar instructor or as a performer."

If you are a flamenco dancer (and want to learn how to improve your compass), Edward is your teacher.

He will encourage your progress in a facilitative and positive manner.

I recommend him wholeheartedly."
