Thomas J. W. is an active music teacher, composer, adjudicator, and clinician in the greater Philadelphia area. He has over fifteen years experience as a concert band director, marching band director, jazz improvisation instructor, choral director, private instructor, and marching drill writer. His directing career has included small rural band programs, small metro programs, large high-achieving suburban programs, and non-profit youth bands. In addition to his band compositions, he also has over forty unpublished vocal arrangements to his credit, most written for use with collegiate men's a cappella groups. Thomas taught over 600 online and local private music lessons in 2016.
Thomas has a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from The Pennsylvania State University. He holds a teaching certificate in the states of Pennsylvania
and New Jersey and has taught at the secondary level in both states. In addition to both instrumental and choral ensembles at Penn State, Thomas was a student leader in the Penn State Blue Band and a member of the brass section of the Cadets of Bergen County Drum and Bugle Corps in 1993 and 1994. He served as an Associate Director of the Warren Junior Military Band of Youngstown, Ohio from 1995 to 2005. He also served as a visual staff member for the renowned North Penn Marching Knights of Lansdale, PA for one season in 2004.
He is a current adjudicator with Drum Corps International and Cavalcade of Bands. He is a member of MENC, PMEA, NJMEA, ASCAP, CASA, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and the National Band Association. He appeared in the Marquis Who's Who Among American Educators in 2004 and 2005, an honor rarely bestowed upon teachers, as students who appear in the Who's Who Among American High School Students must nominate them. He currently is a music teacher at the Center for Performing and Fine Arts of the PA Leadership Charter School in West Chester, PA and resides in Downingtown, PA with his wife and two sons.

*** Lesson Details *** My lessons are tailored to the needs and interests of each student. If a student is involved in school music ensembles, we will work with their lesson books from school in addition to material outside of the books, including SmartMusic, Noteflight, and teacher-created materials. We will focus on building proper tone production and individual technique - something that often is difficult to learn in a large ensemble setting.
I am capable of starting a beginner student on any band instrument including percussion, any classical string instrument (violin, viola, cello, string bass), and piano. I can begin a student on drum set and work with them through their first method book, but I would then recommend they find a specialized drum set teacher after a period of six to twelve months.
For advanced students, I work from selected conservatory etude books on developing advanced skills and can work with students on audition pieces for honors bands/orchestras or college auditions.
My lessons are a half-hour once a week, with the option of working for 45 minutes or 60 minutes.
Thomas is honestly an amazing musician and teacher. He was really patient with me. Despite having to deal with major timezone differences (as I live in Myanmar), he took the time to figure it out. Also, he helped me figure out the stuff it took me months to figure out. He also really knows what he's doing. I learned so much in that hour of practice. 10/10 would recommend him.

Jonathan currently plays and teaches all the orchestral string instruments, guitar, electric bass, and brass instruments. He earned a Bachelor of Music degree in trumpet performance from Emory and Henry College and then went on to earn a Master of Music degree in Trumpet Performance with a concentration in Music Theory and Composition from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He has performed in many ensembles throughout his career including: the New River Brass Quintet, the Symphony of the Mountains, the Monroe Symphony Orchestra, the Emory and Henry Trumpet Ensemble, the ULM symphony orchestra, the ULM Wind Ensemble, and the ULM Jazz Ensemble as well as performing Handel's Messiah with the Gaston Choral Society and at various other churchs in Charlotte. Zachary Al-Radiedeh is an avid performer and educator currently residing in the Greater Atlanta area. His eclectic career in music began when he chose the euphonium in fifth grade, mistakenly thinking it was a French horn. Since then, Zachary has become an active performer on many other instruments, including trombone, tuba, voice, and bass, and his performance idioms have ranged from classical to punk to folk fusion. His diverse career has led him to performances in a wide range of noteworthy venues, including Strathmore Music Center, the 9:30 Club, and Mile High Stadium. Zachary holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Towson University. He is currently pursuing a Master's of Music in Music Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Georgia, where he studies with acclaimed teacher David Zerkel. Notably, Zachary has st
udied euphonium with Matthew Shipes Seth Horner and James Hicks, and trombone with Natalie Mannix. He has performed under the baton of several esteemed conductors and composers, including Jason Fettig, Johan de Meij, and Timothy Holtan.
Outside of concert-style performance, Zachary has built a reputation as a sought-after educator and consultant in the world of marching music. As a marching member himself, he joined the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps for two national tours in 2015 and 2016, was a member of the Cadets2 Drum & Bugle Corps in 2014, and was a featured soloist with the Towson University Marching Band in 2015. Zachary has taken these experiences in top level ensembles and applied them as an active and engaging instructor for marching ensembles in the Baltimore area and beyond, including the Towson University Marching Band, Pioneer Drum & Bugle Corps, and the Urbana High School Marching Band.
Zachary's professional affiliations include membership in Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Tau Beta Sigma, the Maryland Music Educator's Association, and the National Association for Music Education. In 2018, Zachary was a recipient of two prestigious honors at Towson University: winner of the University Concerto Competition and Second Prize in the Peggy Gordon Friedmann Music Competition. He currently performs on Willson 2950TA euphonium, a Conn 24H trombone, and a Besson 994-2 tuba.
Zachary has been a fantastic instructor for my son who is new to the trumpet and has never taken lessons before. Zac taught me how to properly perform an aria in front of a whole lot of important people that I was stressed about. He gave me some excellent pointers on how to work with a pianist. His knowledge of music and his experience in performance has certainly shaped the way I perceive my own performances ever since that lesson.
As a tubist for nearly 20 years, and a instructor for 10 years I have a broad range of experiense and knowledge as a teacher and performer. I have experience in classical band and orchestra performance, as well as jazz.
Giustino C., conductor and baritone, is a musician with tenacity and passion. As an avid performer, vocal coach, and conductor he has enjoyed a musical career on multiple continents. His recent engagements include the role of Marcello in La Bohemé, and El Dancaïro in Carmen; he has appeared with Indianapolis Opera, Pensacola Opera, Florentine Opera, Opera Ouvert, and Opera Western Reserve. Mr. C. received his Master’s in performance under the tutelage of Dr. Kathleen Maurer. This Season he will be joining The Belle Ensemble as the role of Uberto in La Serva Padrona, joining the Little Traverse Civic Theatre in The Christmas Schooner, and performing the role of Arasamene in the World Premiere of Serse by Isaac Wittenberg.

I am a Bass Trombonist, but teach all brass instruments. I have been teaching for 20 years. I help my students build their Tone, Technique and Articulation by teaching a simple Warm-Up routine. I have written an 8-page eBook entitled "Optimal Brass Playing" that describes ten areas of best practices in Brass playing. Each of my students receives one of these. I also heavily emphasize instruction on Sight Reading. In fact, I have recently written a book on the subject that I will soon publish entitled "Page to Performance". As a Composer, I have also written Duet parts to all 65 Introductory Melodious Etudes that were fist compiled by Alan Raph. I use these Duets in lessons to help my students strengthen their Listening Awareness skills.
Mr. Scott really is a nice person to meet. For my first voice lessons, He helped me identify what range I was comfortable with and introduced a few of his works that opened my perspective on reading music. He knows how to teach his material if you specify what exactly you want to accomplish.

Scott is someone who expertly emphasizes both the fundamentals of trombone playing and musicianship. I have had the opportunity to read his melodious etudes arrangements with him and his arrangements are expertly crafted to force the performers to work on listening, phrasing, intonation and sound quality all in one fell swoop. Scott's attitude is very warm and not condescending in the slightest. He is very positive while always encouraging the player to grow.
