I believe that learning music should be as fun and inspiring as it can be to play. We all have a vast wellspring of creative energy within us, and the goal of the relationship between the student and the teacher is to help nurture and develop that latent talent. For this reason, my approach to teaching music is highly individualized. I start out with the premise that the student has unique gifts and my job is to help them discover what those are, and develop and refine them in order to make beautiful and deeply satisfying music, through whatever instrument and in whatever style they are drawn towards.
Depending on one's starting level of experience, some basic exercises will be assigned to develop core skills, with increasing levels of technical challenge and complexity. Elements of music theory will be woven into practical lessons. Students will have the choice to incorporate material from popular and familiar music into their studies, and as they progress they will be encouraged to

I would describe my teaching style as organic and holistic. I believe student needs its own time to digest knowledge and incorporate it. Each lesson should be personalized in order to connect with the needs and goals of each student.

Blues Acoustic and Electric guitar lessons are taught as a way to express yourself, to creatively "sing" with your instrument. Starting with the major and minor pentatonic, we will learn those blues basics and favorites that started the blues movement and influenced rock as heard by Jimmy Page and Slash.

William spent the time to figure out where I was and wanted to go. Im very pleased with the progress I'm making and am confident that taking lessons with William was a great choice. He has also been very giving of his time to help pick out instruments and gear to move my instruction along.
I see a lot of instructors here that are players trying to augment their gigging money by giving lessons. Williams education and background really show in his lesson presentation and effectiveness."
For two years I've been taking lessons with Ahmad every week or two and have found a lifelong hobby. Ahmad has been patient and understanding to my level of ability and has guided me to not only improve dramatically my level of playing, but also has taught me the basic fundamentals of music which makes me appreciate listening to and playing music more than I ever had. Ahmad is a gifted teacher who can quickly uncover and fix fundamental problems with technique and builds lesson plans to teach one how to play the guitar as a musical instrument.
I am so happy I found Ahmad. He has given me a lifelong passion to improve my playing and a deeper understanding of the music I've loved my entire life. If you've ever thought about learning the guitar, do yourself a favor and see Ahmad now."
