I have been singing in public since 1976 (professionally since 1993).

I use a very practical and simple approach. I like to teach the natural voice.

My teaching curriculum emphasizes on proper breathing and vocal placement to ensure vocal improvement within a few weeks of lessons. All of these terms may sound scary, but I believe that singing should be a joyful experience and one that will be a positive change in your life and those around you. I teach all genres of music and specialize in audition preparation. I want my students to reach their musical potential and aspirations while having a blast.

Ready to uncover the expressive singing voice you know you have? I’ve been helping students discover joyful singing for 20 years. Lessons are tailor-made to the needs of the individual student with a focus on vocal health and proper production. You will learn how to warm-up your voice with exercises geared towards building the instrument, breath support, and tension release. We will work on repertoire with specific techniques for learning and developing a song. For students that are ready or interested, we will work on applications such as working with an accompanist or band, creating arrangements and presentation. Beginners to professionals are welcome. Hello! My name is Rae. I specialize in helping my students their voices in the most healthy and effective way. No matter if you are a brand new singer, or have been singing for years, I will pay special attention to your unique voice. Every person's vocal production is different, but we all have something truly worth while to bring forth and give to others.
I have a bachelor's degree in classical singing, and have years of background in Musical theater and worship music.
I have over 6 years of teaching experience giving private lessons and nearly 5 years of teaching Performing Arts at a private school. I have taught all ages, from preschool to adult. I understand how the voice works from Vocal Pedagogy class in college and working with countless students of all ages. The voice is an inherent instinct that I have always been drawn to, but of course it is also my area of deep study.

I teach students how to sing with proper vocal technique, how to perform for an audience, and how to audition. If a student is interested in creating their own music, I also work with them on necessary songwriting skills they may need to know while starting their musical career.
My main goal is to help each student become the best version of themselves, discovering their potential and developing their technical and performance.
My style of teaching is to keep things fun so the students stay motivated and positive. I believe the best way to learn is to enjoy what you're doing. I give my students vocal exercises and skills that they can bring home and work on every day. My students are always progressing towards their goals and my commitment is to help students be the best they can be while having fun.
