You don't have to have the blues to play the blues! We'll study famous blues guitarist and figure out what they have in common and what makes them unique. Learn to solo over any blues piece.

About Brandon
What do Britney Spears and Beethoven have in common?

They're both pop music! One just happens to be 200 years old.

Berklee College of Music graduate from Boston, MA with a passion for all genres, though mainly popular music. For me, music has always been about having fun and doing what feels natural, and I try to pass this on to my students.

In all seriousness, if it's not fun, why do it?

I'm super laid back, but I refuse to let you spend your money, or someone else's, on lessons like it's going out of style. I believe that the more fun you have with music, the more you'll want to play, and as a result, the better a musician you will become.

*** Lesson Details ***
During the first lesson, we will create a clear goal and purpose for your lessons. Each lesson will be tailored to what YOU need in order to achieve your
goal.

Every student has a different motivation for taking lessons. Whether you simply want to show off for that special someone or you're trying to get into an elite music school, it is my objective to get you there with a smile on your face.

Want to learn the top ten guitar solos of all time? And nothing else? Just say so!
Want to learn piano theory until you're dizzy? We can do that too!
Always wanted to play drums but think you're too uncoordinated? No such thing!

Or, maybe you're already a polished musician lacking the theory to get another degree - no matter what your motivation may be, together we can make it happen.

You don't have to listen to a specific type of music to be a real musician. Yes, believe it or not, Britney Spears is a musician too! We'll work on the types of music YOU enjoy, not the stuff your parents, friends, or coworkers consider 'good' music.

Whether you want to learn Justin Bieber or Rachmaninoff, it's cool with me - believe it or not, the two have something in common...don't believe me? I'll prove it!

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in online music lessons. I have an extensive background in computers and technology, and incorporate a lot of unique tools to my online lessons to greatly improve the user's experience, such as multiple camera angles; picture-in-picture views; displaying sheet music on your screen and being able to highlight, point, and change pages for you; as well as interactive games similar to Rock Band that I control on my end as the student participates on their end.

I teach all styles, though my interests are mainly in pop, electronic, rock/hard rock/classic rock, metal, and classical.

Brandon's taught me more about how music works in just a handful of lessons than what I learned in years with other teachers.

Tim is an excellent guitar teacher and an overall great guy. He provided me with structure and support, enabling me to make the most out of my practice and ultimately progress as a player. His warm personality and contagious enthusiasm for music kept me looking forward to our time together each week. Heading into my first class with Tim, I had almost no musical experience (at least for the last 15+ years). In a very casual way, he was able to get a sense of where I was and where he should start with my instruction.

I was very reluctant to take lessons at first, but my wife got me started with Tim and it was really worth it. He was accommodating to my relatively slow speed of learning and easily adapted to my own musical preferences and interests.

His studio is a great space and is located within a really cool, historic building. The sound is fantastic and it's a comfortable space to practice in.

I highly recommend Tim for lessons - especially for adults who may not be able to dedicate hours a day to practicing. I took lessons weekly for three months and I got a great foundation for practicing. Once my life settles down a little, I definitely hope to go back.

The foundation of Blues can be rooted in the 'Dominant' Arpeggio, Blues and Pentatonic Scales. I show you all of the popular licks and tricks of classic blues players with thorough explanation.

About Chris
My name is Chris B. and I've been playing music for most of my life.

The best lesson that I've personally learned is that a musician is never done learning. Once you start believing that you know everything there is to know about your instrument then you've stopped growing musically. Personally, I've also learned that I enjoy sharing my knowledge of music with others and exposing students to new techniques and concepts.

I strongly believe that these traits are the most important aspects of teaching music to others. No matter how advanced my playing skills might progress, I’ll always be able to relate to any type of student because I’m still learning something new everyday!

I've been taking lessons from Chris for 2 months now. He's exceptional in his teaching methods and makes each lesson enjoyable. I'm a beginner and learning my first chorded song. He's been excellent at taking his time and breaking the song down to where I feel comfortable playing.
He's easily reached by email, and has sent me audio files of himself playing the song we're working on to help me with my practice. I leave my lessons pumped and excited to play. I highly recommend him!!

I had my second lesson with Chris today. He's exactly the type of teacher I've searched for. He's very easy going and optimistic. I appreciate the fact he grabs his guitar and plays along with me, it makes learning rhythm so much easier for someone who learns by seeing and following along. I highly recommend him.

Playing guitar comes easy like drinking water for me. I quit the corporate world to fully commit to my passion of music where I produce, record, mix, master and practice every day. Performing every week, I don't just play guitar. I also play piano, sing, write songs and I know how to use industry-standard music software. I not only am knowledgeable and proficient in many styles, but I also listen to and enjoy all genres. I can show you that music is for everybody, whether you are a professional artist, or just want some therapy, this is a healing component of life, so it's nothing for me to open this world for anyone that wants to learn. There are no egos attached with me, so I'm here to help with any way and be open-minded. Teaching is also a learning experience, so learning how to open the Muse to people I am wholly grateful for. I am not a BSer. This is what I do everyday. I don't mess around with my craft.

About Erik
I'm lead vocalist, lead guitarist & songwriter for a jazz/future soul band that is currently the house band for Gallery 992. I graduated from Clayton County Fine Arts Magnet High School, and am currently teaching lessons to students ranging in ability from beginner to intermediate. My experience and training makes learning the beauty of music fun and exciting.

Currently, I run a studio producing for other artists' creative projects, play for an active jazz band and am a songwriter under BMI. I spend much of my time writing and recording for my projects and other artists. My songs have been featured on short films and artist EPs.

I teach students in my home teaching studio in Atlanta,Georgia where we can vibe out and build with each other. I work with guitarists, pianists, horn players, producers, songwriters, engineers, singers and r
appers with different skills and different goals.

I regularly teach: Jazz, Alternative, Rock, Soul, R&B, Blues, Hip-Hop, Pop, Indie Rock and Funk

I believe the perfect guitar lesson should be composed of 3 things: First developing a warm up/metronome practice/reading music. Second something the student is interested in learning(a song, technique), and Lastly something I think will make you progress as a musician like scales, improvisation, various guitar techniques.

I believe the majority of the lesson should be concentrated on what the student whats to learn so that they stay interested and want to keep coming back for lesson, and the rest of the time should be decided to teaching the student musical ideas that will progress them forward as a musician.

About Michael
