Hey there! I'm a multi-instrumentalist with a strong foundation in Guitar, Bass, and Drums.

My lessons are curated behind a few things:
-the understanding of music theory (scales, chord progressions, rhythmic structure, song composition etc.)
-student's requests to learn specific songs and creating original song
-having FUN!

Because in my experience, you're not learning if you're not enjoying what you're doing.

After 6 years, of playing drums, I began my time as a guitar player. I grew as a guitar player tremendously fast because of my understanding and practice of rhythm. I began as an acoustic/folk guitarist, progressed into a blues/funk guitarist, and now play mainly jazz and neo-soul. I also am accustomed to teach many other genres. I now write, produce, and perform my own music and stream online.

With most teachers, practicing an instrument as a beginner can feel like a chore. It is my mission to make practicing guitar the highlight of your day, every single step of the way.

When I first started learning guitar, I convinced myself that I was going to give up at least once a week. This is because I hadn't yet discovered the secret to learning music the fun way. I'll tell you that secret, which I didn't realize until 6 years into playing for various bands: being a good musician is not about mastering technic, knowing the names of all the scales and rhythms, or being able to move your fingers in the fastest or hardest ways. Being a good musician is about loving music. If you can connect to what you're playing, you will create beautiful sounds. It's as simple as that.

I would describe my teaching style as organic and holistic. I believe student needs its own time to digest knowledge and incorporate it. Each lesson should be personalized in order to connect with the needs and goals of each student.
For me it is a pleasure to stimulate curiosity and give tools for an artistic development. I have taught music for 8 years on 1 on 1 classes as well as group workshops. I exceeded as a Core Music Tutor at Berklee College of Music, providing individual hourly tutoring sessions assisting students in the completion of coursework and projects in ear training, and harmony and arranging.

Children and adults alike benefit from and enjoy the personalized elements of our teaching style. We provide students the opportunity to learn the fundamentals and techniques necessary to become skilled musicians, and are always happy to help students work toward their individual goals for learning. We believe strongly that learning should be fun. We work hard to ensure an enjoyable learning experience. In making sure that students enjoy what they are learning, we add value to the skills that are taught, by fostering a true appreciation for the joy music can bring.

My plan for each student is too develop a strong foundation and build on from there depending on your tastes and goals.
