Experienced Music teacher of 8 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of their instrument and theory skills. I specialize in all styles. Typically, I use a variety of method books to pick from to meet the needs of the students. I also have many tools available to use during lessons.
My students have gone on to NYSSMA and on to college auditions successfully!

I can teach students by ear or with sheet music. I can adapt my lessons with students based on what they seek to accomplish and what their current skill level is. In teaching tin whistle, my approach to teaching focuses on the enjoyment associated with playing the instrument and learning the cultural aspect of music-making.

Tin whistle (aka irish whistle, aka penny whistle) is one of the easiest wind instruments to play. Easier even, than the recorder, ultra portable, and very fun to play. I teach almost exclusively Irish (and some British and Scottish) repertoire on the tin whistle.

I learned to play traditional Irish music during my guitar studies at UCF. I also learned to play bodhran and tin whistle, both of which I"m happy to teach to the novice player.
