    Hi everyone, I'm Guthrie! I love music more than anything else; playing, teaching, composing are all my life passions. My styles vary from Irish flute to classical, and sometimes bagpipes on the side! I'm originally from Washington state, but am currently living in Philadelphia. As a teacher, I like to let the student tell me how they like to learn, what kind of music they want to learn to play. I promise you will learn a lot from me, (and me from you!) and have quite a bit of fun on the side!

    Always wanted to learn some Irish music, and Guthrie helped me reach my goal of playing a jig within a couple weeks! Super nice guy, can't recommend him enough!

    I had forgotten how to play the flute when I started lessons. After a few lessons my fingers started to remember all their old habits! Super patient, definitely recommend!
