Welcome to my Guitar, Bass Lesson, and Clarinet page. I can provide you with professional, quality, and affordable lessons. I'm very passionate about music, the guitar and bass, and love teaching! I am a Masters Degreed Educator who has been teaching for over 20+ years. I can provide you with lessons on proper technique, music theory, chords, scales, songwriting, and more. I currently teach with Guitar Center/Music Arts in the local area but I am looking for more students to fill out my schedule.

Flamenco is the reason I play guitar. It is also the secret of my success in both performance and instruction. Flamenco is the most sacred, challenging and dominating of all guitar styles/disciplines. This must be guided carefully and with the utmost attention given to technique. This style of guitar IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART. With Flamenco you will move, mesmerize and excite people reminding them just how alive they are.

I offer a unique range of styles on the guitar such as jazz , blues, r&b, spanish flamenco style, and classical style guitar playing methods. Along with these styles, I also teach the students how to improvise and apply theory to their playing. A great deal of in depth work really goes into this, but it really provides the student, as well as the teacher, a great educational experience.

While very much a student of music/guitar, I believe I can help a lot of folks with their own musical journey and learning process!

With over 200 articles & 50 videos on learning guitar and music, playing guitar for 30+ years, gigging for over 15+ years, and have composed/created/recorded music in a variety of styles, I can help many aspiring guitarists.

Besides the guitar, I am currently learning drums, congas, bass, piano, violin, viola, cello, bass flute, and singing. In other words, while I l started learning guitar along time ago, I am very familiar with many aspects of the musical learning process!

Diego Alonso has a Masters degree in flamenco pedagogy & musicology ("flamencología") from ESMUC (Barcelona) and graduated with highest honors in flamenco guitar performance from the Fundación Cristina Heeren (Sevilla). He has over 19 years of professional teaching and performance experience and has traveled to over 15 countries to perform, teach and compose since 2002. Diego has also given over 10,000 private guitar lessons and has given over 300 workshops, clinics, lectures and masters classes in schools and universities across the globe.

In addition to his experience and education in flamenco, Diego has a strong background in classical and Latin-jazz guitar and offers private lessons, master classes, educational performances and lectures on flamenco and on research based, expert practice and expert performance strategies.
