I provide lessons to beginner-intermediate students who are interested in learning the proper singing technique for classical music, opera, and musical theatre. In lessons, I help the students build a solid technique, learn new repertoire, and prepare for upcoming auditions.

About Sara

Hello, and welcome to my page! I am a classically trained singer from Columbia, SC. I have also taught and performed in Southern California, Boston, and the greater Charlotte area. My philosophy is that anyone can learn to sing; just like any other instrument, all it takes is determination and practice. I welcome all levels and ages of aspiring vocalists. I am also open to all genres, from opera to rock! The goal of my lessons is to help singers feel confident with their vocal technique and to feel joy in sharing their gifts.

In addition to singing, I also teach beginner piano, music theory, audition prep, and ear-training.

As a professional opera singer with international career I have performed with opera companies and in opera houses all over a world, gained a lot of singing and acting experience and successfully share my experience with my students.
I enjoy helping beginners to make first steps in singing, but also work with emerging professionals who need little correction, professional advise and an honest opinion to rely on.

Extensive background in opera performance, over 50 roles both nationally & internationally.

Doctorate degree - Training in production & stage direction.

About Patrice

My interest is in developing singers to become a better version of themselves and help them reach their goals. Many of my students are singing professionally in Colorado, New York and internationally.

Background includes international and national performance credits in both opera and musical theatre. My last major gig was Carlotta in Andrew Lloyd Webber's German production of Phantom of the Opera in Hamburg, Germany for ten years.
We sang eight times a week in German! All backstage activities were in English due to the truly International cast. I loved every minute of living and working in Continental Europe.

In May, I'll be singing one of the leading soprano roles with Opera Fort Collins in The Fairy Queen by Purcell. I'm hoping my costume will have a set of white wings like the Gynbourne production.

She is reliable, pleasant, sincere, and capable. She gives each student her full attention and tailors her lessons to each one's particular talent (as well as where they're in need of improvement). A recent Berklee College of Music Graduate, with over 4 years international experience, I teach a wide range of genres ranging from Classical to Jazz and Pop. I am a performing vocalist with two bands and play frequently in the SoCal region. Using this experience I will help you build a solid vocal technique with my vocal exercise regime. I am a firm believer in healthy vocal training to help keep your voice in great shape and free from strain. Wanting to sing that impressive song, but felt you haven't got the skill set needed? I will assist you on your musical journey, step by step to help you reach your full singing potential.

About Hannah

I am a professional singer from Dublin, Ireland. I graduated of Berklee College of Music, Boston MA, where I received a Bachelors in Professional Music (Summa Cum Laude), with concentrates in Contemporary Writing and Production, Vocal Performance and Songwriting. I won a scholarship to study at Berklee having completed a Jazz and Contemporary Music Higher Certificate in Newpark School of Music, Dublin.

Prior to this I was classically trained. I studied singing in the Dublin Conservatory of Music, (DIT), where I successfully achieved all eight grades at the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music in Classical Singing. I am a past winner of the Soprano Solo category at the All- Ireland Feis Ceoil- premier classical singing competition.

I am currently in the Irish music duo Buska, and Mawd, a touring Indie Rock band in Los A

ngeles. I recently toured with Mawd at the renowned SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas. As an actress, I had a principal part in the hit Irish TV comedy series ‘Damo & Ivor’ back in Dublin. The film, ‘Damo & Ivor: The Movie’, has just been released to cinemas nationwide (March 2018).

With over 4 years of teaching and over 15 years of Classical and Jazz training, I am well equipped to work with both beginners and advanced vocal students. As a student you can expect to see week on week progress. I use different vocal exercises and breathing techniques customized for your voice, recognizing that every voice is unique. I teach students how to release built up tension while applying the foundational breathing techniques every singer should know. I can help each student to sing with confidence, ease and expressiveness.

I look forward to working with you on your singing journey!

Hannah was a fantastic teacher- I was only able to be in LA for a short period of time but managed to have a very productive and useful singing lesson with her. She was very personable and friendly, while able to pinpoint areas to focus on and gave me a lot of great techniques to work with to improve. I'd definitely return to lessons with her when I can.

and she demonstrates superior knowledge of vocal and musical techniques. Mikayla excels at discerning and understanding her students’ needs — I am always impressed by her preparation and efforts to tailor each lesson to my progress. Her friendly, upbeat personality facilitates a “safe zone” where learning to sing is not only comfortable, but fun! "Having studied under Taj for the past year I have found a significant improvement in the size and strength of my voice. He focuses on the essentials of th
e voice and is great at figuring out how my voice works best and he then creates exercises tailored specifically to me. I never feel vocally tired after lessons because he properly warms me up and keeps me from pushing my voice.

He is also an incredible coach in languages. His strongest are German and French, but his Italian is not far behind.

I feel like I can bring any style of music to Taj and he has the knowledge and musicality to coach me on it. I am focused in opera, but I love to sing Broadway as well. Many of our lessons start with opera repertoire, but then if we have time at the end we break out the musical rep."
