I teach blues guitar lessons for all levels, from beginner to professional. Many blues songs have identical chord changes. I can show you how easy it is to discern how to find the key to your favorite blues songs and jam along with them. I can show you how to find the best notes to play when you create a guitar solo. How to get the most emotion in your playing, and how to sound original.

Munro is a dynamic composer and musician who has been teaching for over 25 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from Arizona State University. He has attended the prestigious Juilliard School in NYC to further his study of composition and orchestration, and also Berklee School of Music in Boston.

During lessons, Munro utilizes modern teaching techniques to assure quality results for his students. He has experience and success working with students of all ages, regardless of previous musical experience.

He is well versed in Music Theory, Modern Contemporary Harmony. Other teaching styles Munro can accomodate are Blues-Rock Guitar, Improvisation, Composition, and Orchestration.

Typically use study books, and also have sheet music available to use during lessons. You will learn simple and complex chords, lead guitar scales and melodies, music sight reading and music theory.

I have been paying guitar/bass and performing live for over 8 years, and have 2 years of teaching experience. My strongest genres are blues, folk, and classic rock, but I can teach the basics of any genre, and will adapt my lessons to the goals of the student. I can help beginner/early-intermediate musicians develop their ear, learn to read music, develop good technique, and deepen their appreciation of the music they already love.
