Bluegrass is one of the most excited guitar styles, and has been a great source of inspiration to me over my life of studying music. We can delve into the dazzling stylings of master flatpickers like Tony Rice and Norman Blake, and cover the nuances of bluegrass rhythm styles. Alex has been a professional touring musician and teacher since 2011, teaching both privately and as an extension faculty member. He has worked with students of all ages and skill levels, tailoring his lesson plans for the needs of the student. Alex does not believe that one rigid method will fit for everyone, and tries to ensure that every student is having fun and learning in a personalized way. His specialties include flatpicking and fingerpicking the acoustic guitar.

I have studied Guitar with Joe Settlemires who taught players like Brad Paisley, and Vince Gill. I started playing guitar at 15 and have toured all over the country.
