About Daniel

What style do you want to play? I love to play it all. I mean it. So whatever moves you, we can work with that. I've played orchestral to hip-hop fusion, religious ceremonies to wine festivals, in motown, salsa, and funk bands, and with a jazz trio in a literal cave. So--it's up to you! *Lessons

Thank you Daniel!

Daniel is a great teacher. His background and knowledge on Music Theory is phenomenal and helped me take my playing and writing to the next level.

Highly recommend!
Camille
I really like Daniel. His love for music is infectious. As a teacher, he's patient, crazy smart, and easy to be around. He's also a deep thinker, which makes him really good at using simple analogy to help me understand complex concepts. It's a fun way to learn. TBH I was very surprised to leave lessons not just having learned new ways of thinking about music, but also about myself, and how I can start moving out of my own way. I recommend Daniel without hesitation.

I have been working with Ableton Live for over ten years to record, produce and perform many styles of music. My experience ranges genres from hip-hop to jazz to rock to metal to EDM. I'm more than happy to help develop any of these skills with my students!

Sam is a wonderful, patient teacher who will meet you on your level and mould his lessons to your interests! It’s always a pleasure to have a lesson with Sam.

I first met Sam in Brazil a couple of years ago and recently contacted him for online lessons as I was looking to go further in exploring folk guitar techniques. Sam's lessons are the perfect balance for me between technical proficiency and learning new skills in a way that he makes intuitive to follow, and also conceptual approaches to the instrument which have made a big difference in the way I play. A combination of these two factors and Sam's down-to-earth and encouraging energy have made the lessons motivating for me. I always finish the lessons inspired and wanting to play and come up with new ideas! Organisation-wise and on the technical side of things, it's been very straightforward on Zoom. I thoroughly recommend Sam's lessons!
Izzy
He's an innovative teacher who's very good at enhancing your strengths and going from there. Whether it's songwriting, guitar, or other things, he makes me feel confident about what I'm doing well and then helps improve where I need to improve. He's also very patient and egoless.

Learn quickly to write your own songs through this powerful program. I will help you create manageable, structured projects that will be educational, creative, and ultimately super rewarding for you.

About Kelly

I am not your traditional voice teacher. Following in the footsteps of musical auteurs David Byrne and Brian Eno, I studied art at University. Immediately after graduating, I put art aside to pursue my passion for singing and songwriting in New York City. While there, I sang and played keyboard, w

I have been a vocal student of Kelly for 2 years. I've seen such a drastic improvement. She has helped me to progress far beyond what I thought was possible. I have recently performed in 4 part barbershop quartet. Kelly helped to make that happen! You will love her!

I am a beginner and have been working with Kellie once a week for 2 months.

As a dancer, I am interested in continued exploration of my body as a communication tool. Kellie has guided me to literally OPEN UP and FEEL (not overthink) the rhythm of my human expression.

Pros:
1) educational - music theory & voice box anatomy
2) personalized to go at my own pace
3) class is online - I can practice something vulnerable in the comfort of my own home
4) open learning environment - intuition and bodily exploration is encouraged
5) foundational approach - breath, posture, warm up drills, basic vocabulary are all emphasized

Cons:
1) class is online - nothing beats "in person" feedback
2) we meet once a week - I would like to meet more often to keep the process active (though I can't swing it right now, maybe in the future?)
3) had to download SKYPE as the communication platform

Advice to future students:
1) Pick a song/goal to guide the structure of your class.
2) Set aside personal reflection/practice time in between class each week
3) Make this unique to you. Explore your fears and WHY you are drawn to exploring your voice. This can be an empowering and therapeutic process.

Kellie is a professional creative who brings her full self to class each week. I appreciate her hard work and devotion to me as a student. I work day to day as a barista and have had regulars comment that they notice something different about the way I hold myself - yes Kellie is working some major magic. I can’t put a price tag on this experience. Thank you!
Evan
At first I just wanted lessons so I could be less embarrassed at karaoke parties. Then Kelly got me hooked. Her exercises are incredibly fun and her knowledge of how the voice works so extensive that its hard not to fall in love with singing after spending time with her. I'm now understanding how this instrument that is my body works and how I can tune it to sound better. She caters her lessons to me and what I need to work on next to gain more understanding and retrain my body to sound amazing. Its a whole body practice from posture to breathe, to anatomy to music theory. Shes amazing and I would recommend her lessons even if you never desire to sing in public.

Modern technological tools are revolutionizing the possibilities for musical artists. By learning about music production, you can have the sounds of the orchestra, rock band, and beyond all at your finger tips. I offer instruction in Ableton Live and other related software.

Depending on your goals, music production lessons can include instruction on synthesis, realistic sounding manipulation of samplers, recording, mixing and mastering. If these terms sound like Greek to you, that's fine too! All that is required for music production lessons is an interest in creating music with a computer and other pieces of music technology.

I also offer lessons in composition, music theory, arranging, and piano performance. These subjects may also be included, if applicable. On the first lesson with a new student, I'll always go over the options for potential areas of study and work with the student to develop an appropriate course of study customized to their needs and interests. "My first session with Jarod was great! Lots of great information, very focused session, and great experience in a very well put together studio. Jarod was also very welcoming and open to conversing about personal manners that influence my music experience. Even after our first session, I feel much more confident in mixing practices which I had not before. Looking forward to our future meeting and I would highly recommend Jarod as an instructor for anyone looking to improve their knowledge and practices in regard to production and mixing/mastering!"

"Matt does a great job of adapting his instructions to match where the students knowledge is currently. I started taking lessons from him after spending a few years learning bits and pieces of ableton on my own. Matt quickly figured out where I was, what I can do to improve what I've learned, and helped me make steps moving forward. No matter you're experience level I can't recommend learning from Matt enough. I leave every lesson with so much more knowledge than before that I can immediately start applying to my own work and work flow. Thank you Matt! Looking forward to many more lessons."
