In Italy it is featured prominently in European Classical and Traditional music.
The mandolin is common used in Celtic, Irish, British, Brazilian and Bluegrass folk music.

It has 4 sets of double metal strings tuned in unison.
The A - Style Madolin teardrop shaped is commonly used amongst Folk/Celtic musicians
It's used primarily to play melody.
Irish Mandolin Tuning: G, D, A, E - Same as a Tenor Banjo and Violin.

It's used to play back up rhythm, mostly on the off beat & in playing solos during the break in a set where the musican plays melody.
I accommodate all students ...

to get me started on the basics of the tenor banjo in our first lesson and even made me my own binder of music for me to practice at home. It’s hard to come by someone who actually knows the tenor banjo and I feel lucky to have found a great teacher! He really look the time to make sure I felt comfortable practicing for our next session. I am looking forward to continuing my studies with Antonio.
