Singing is super fun but can also be discouraging when obstacles such as strain and vocal fatigue set in. My goals as a voice teacher are to boost the confidence of singers through developing reliable breathing technique, a connected support system and a clear, easy tone. I have been teaching voice for the past seven years, have a bachelors in voice, and am working towards a masters in voice from Florida State University where I teach undergraduate musical theater and classical students. Along with voice technique lessons, I frequently coach my students in singing German, Italian, and French as well as English. I have been teaching opera, oratorio and classical music for 10 years.
My teaching goal is to help you develop your technique and musicianship as a singer. My philosophy of teaching classical singing to make you become a self-efficient singer with a solid technique and interpretation.

Singing is fun, isn't it?

It can be even more fun when we feel in control of our voice. Then we can sing louder or softer, higher or lower, long notes or fast short notes. We can relax, be confident and sing with feeling. I can help you to achieve all of those things!

We can work on any kind of music that interests you, whether that is Classical, Broadway, Pop, Jazz, Rock, Alternative, Movie music or whatever. It's always your choice.

Your lessons will be geared toward helping you to achieve your goals. If your goals change, the focus of your lesson will change.

We'll take this at your pace. I'll never overwhelm you but, I'll keep you challenged. It'll be fun!

Hi, I'm Laura and I believe everyone has a unique and authentic voice that deserves to be uncovered. Whether you have stage aspirations or are simply interested in learning more about singing, voice lessons can be a great way to build confidence and grow in your sense of self. We'll work together to develop a language and tool box that will enable you to reach your fullest potential as a singer.

My mission is to help singers find skill, confidence and joy in learning to explore their unique voices!

I have been teaching for 8 years, directing choirs of all ages, teaching in music classrooms, and working with students one-on-one. In my studio, I use my knowledge of the voice, repertoire, and styles to meet the needs of each student. I love to sing music in the classical repertoire, but I work with students on a variety of styles, from original songs to arias. We will apply the principles of healthy singing to whatever styles of music you are interested in singing. I am passionate about helping my students reach their goals, while also helping them become stronger musicians. My love of singing has made me a life-long musician, and that is a love that I strive to foster in all of my students.
