Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play recognizable tunes. First, starting off with simple arrangments and then building as you become more advanced. I typically use Banjo Primer, Claw Hammer Banjo Primer and "You Can Teach Yourself Banjo" These books break everything down and gets you up and running very quickly. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

I offer banjo for children and adults of all levels, from first time players to very advanced players. I offer lessons teaching three-finger Scruggs, Melodic and Reno-Style bluegrass banjo. I can provide a complete curriculum including tabs/sheet music or I can can give personalized lessons on skills or music of your choice. I teach both playing by ear and tablature.
