At first I was very apprehensive with the online format as never tried that before, but needn't as XiaoMing was an excellent teacher. Helped me to translate passages in simple Chinese for me to make in my presentation. Corrected me on my tones which I needed. A clever guy who is flexible to do Business Chinese or Conversational Chinese. Recommended.

My approach to teaching voice is grounded in the breath, body awareness, and psychological well being. One must be continuously mastering the air as the body may feel different from day to day or week to week. Progress is never linear, and sometimes it is easy for a student to feel down if they expect more of themselves or because of something personal. The journey in an instrument, as personal as the voice, is never easy. Therefore, I encourage positive self-talk in and outside of lessons. I will always ask students how the exercises feel, but also what they're thinking about when executing them. In addition, I listen for any physical tensions a student may display. My goal in teaching is to help the student rid the body and throat of any extra tension, so they can produce the freest and healthiest sounds possible. I consider my job well-done, if a student no longer needs me regularly and can become their own teacher. For younger students, a big part of my curriculum is reading music

I worked with Jessica for roughly two years. During that time we worked on different vocal techniques and explored many different music styles such as classical and Broadway. Jessica helped me find confidence in myself and my voice. Because of my work with Jessica, I auditioned for and earned a spot in an audition-only choir, something I never could have done without everything I learned from Jessica.

In addition to singing techniques, I learned important things about the voice and how to keep it healthy.

Jessica is an exceptional voice teacher and I learned so much from her.

My 12 year old daughter was thrilled to resume voice lessons with Miss Jessica using Zoom. My daughter started with Jessica at the age of 10. Jessica is a gifted singer and teacher. Singing is one of my autistic daughter’s strengths and I feel so fortunate to have Jessica helping her develop her vocal talents. I highly recommend Jessica.

I have a passion for teaching people to sing to the best of their ability with the instrument they have been given! I want to teach others to sing like THEM, not like someone else or in a certain style, but to unlock their potential! There aren't shortcuts, but we can be relaxed, comfortable, and laugh on the journey to improvement! This is first and foremost a safe space to make mistakes and learn the correct way to use our bodies to sing. I have a bachelor's degree in music and performance from the University of North Georgia and have been teaching lessons for over eight years with students of all ages and backgrounds. I am excited to share what I have learned to help YOU sing to the best of your ability!

My name is Maryanne Dymond Fiorentino. I started taking lessons with Melissa a few weeks ago. I have to say she is a very good voice instructor. She is kind, patient, and always wanting to help keep improving my craft. She pays close to eye on any mistakes and loves what she does she is very knowledgable and easy to talk to about anything regarding the voice singing and repertoire. I would like to say I give a 1 star to the take lessons online site Melissa and I have been working together on skype which is a zillion times better in being able to communicate.

"I had a great experience with Dr. Galer! She helped me prepare for conservatory auditions, and because of our work, I received scholarships to FSU, FGCU, Indiana University, and Oberlin. I have also participated in programs such as Tanglewood and Palm Beach Opera Studio, and competitions such as NATS and PBMTA. All of this helped me to grow as a singer, in turn leading me to attend Oberlin as a voice major. Thank you, Dr. G!"

What started as just wanted a few lessons, went on to be studying with her for 3 years. She transformed the way I sing and gave me so much confidence in every aspect. 100% would recommend!"

"Adam is a great teacher. This was my first time taking voice lessons (adult beginner) and I wasn't sure what to expect. But Adam's ear is sharp as hell. HE doesn't miss anything and doesn't let me off the hook when I lose focus or miss a note. Anytime I feel like I messed up but don't think he caught it, he always catches it!

Which tells me he's legit. Highly recommended."

"I would not have been prepared whatsoever for the (what seemed like) never ending process of college auditioning. While college auditions are typically anxiety boosters, Michelle and Robert’s technique and ways of preparation over prepared me to the point where the audition was a breeze. With their help using mock auditions including sight singing, how to self warm up, posture and the necessity for 3-5 pieces of repertoire that fit my image and sound, I would not be where I am today. I knew nothing of the tediousness that a college audition was. Throughout my practice we worked on acting, something I needed major reform on. With practice, my acting made me more confident performing my piece as well as engaged my audience. Without both of their motivation and push I would not have succeeded the way I did and my audition would have been a lot bigger and scarier, when in reality it wasn’t. The biggest help for me, I believe was the mock auditions. With constant practices that mimicked the actual audition, this prepared me both mentally and physically for what the actual procedure would be like. I practiced entering the room as well as greeting the judges, something I hadn’t thought of prior. Interacting with the judges seemed a lot less nerve racking with the use of practice questions and how to answer them in a polite and engaging way. As we continued to practice, my nerves subsided. It became routine and over prepared me for the actual audition. Without Robert and Michelle’s aid I would not have been able to overcome some of my personal anxieties as well as succeed the way I did. Their constant motivation and cheer helped my nerves and allowed me to completely relax yet stay focused when practicing. I wouldn’t have the confidence I have today without their help aiding me in my vocal presentation and interaction with school officials/judges. Any student would be extremely lucky to have Michelle and Robert prepare them for college. With their tough work ethic and constant motivation, success surely follows."

"Michelle is an amazing teacher! I have had 8 lessons and am so happy with my progress. I am 53 years old, and have been singing since high school. But, I have never taken voice lessons, and therefore, have not been singing correctly all these years. She and her husband Robert are teaching me a whole new way of singing. It is like teaching an old dog new tricks, but they are so good at explaining things and are so supportive, encouraging and fun! It is my one hour of therapy a week. They are helping me find my new voice, and I am loving it. Highly recommend."
