Every student is a unique person who deserves a lesson customized to their individual needs. Each of my students prospers in an atmosphere of patience and encouragement. While the lessons are fun and enjoyable, the serious student will be supported in the development of skills leading to a rewarding career. And the more casual students will grow in an appreciation of music that will always enrich their lives.
I begin each voice lesson with a warm-up to prepare the student for their session. Next, we do a series of exercises specially designed to help each individual develop their skill in a way that best fits them. We then work on a piece of their choice for the remainder of the lesson, perfecting their technique and helping them become performance ready. I teach with patience and fun because I feel that this is the key to achieving goals and inspiring a good habit of practice.

I received my bachelor's degree in music with an emphasis on vocal performance at the University of Redlands in 2011 (which I attended on a music talent scholarship), and am now an active performer in Los Angeles, CA. I have been tutoring and teaching privat
e lessons for almost 10 years, and currently have over 40 active students.
I have played leading roles in several operas and musicals in Southern California, including Gianni Schicchi, Die Fledermaus, La Boheme (DTL nominee), The Impresario, The Tales of Hoffmann, The Grand Duke, Patience (DTL award), Cosi fan tutte, Little Women, Seussical, and many more. I have also appeared in several concerts, opera scenes, competitions (winning music scholarships and theater awards), and worked as a singer in churches, restaurants, and in pop bands. I continue to stay active in the performance industry, and I could never live without it!
With this experience under my belt, I feel a desire to pass on my knowledge to students. I carry a strong passion to help people develop their abilities and make them their own. I truly believe that if someone wants something out of life they will achieve it with dedication, perseverance, confidence, and by having FUN doing it!
I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree at the Eastman School of Music in vocal performance and literature. I believe in empowering my students so that they can sing in all styles of music that interest them with ease and freedom. Good singing is good singing and I am comfortable teaching classical, musical theater, pop, jazz, country etc. I like to set up my students with a strong foundation for singing so that they can practice efficiently and overcome vocal obstacles without my instruction.
Hello everyone, I am Michael - I am currently in school at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY pursuing my doctoral degree in vocal performance and literature. I have sung all over the world in operas, musicals and with professional choirs. I enjoy teaching all levels of singing and love to inspire my students to reach their full potential. Singing should be fun and it can become even more exciting when the fundamentals start to fall into place. I am a casual but professional teacher and like to tailor my teaching to each one of my students. I like to make singing a very concrete and sensation based learning experience so students can rely on more than just their ears to guide themselves. Good singing is good singing, period - any genre ,any style... it all stems from the basics and setting up a strong foundation on which t
o build the voice.
American baritone Michael most recently performed the role of Lieutenant Audebert in Silent Night by Kevin Puts with Buffalo Opera in New York. Other recent credits include: Sam in Trouble in Tahiti by Leonard Bernstein at the Aspen Opera Center, Marcello in La Boheme by Puccini in San Diego, CA and Tom in Gershiwin’s, Blue Monday with Opera de Tijuana in Mexico. Michael will return to the Aspen Opera Center this summer to sing Frederick Egerman in Sondheim’s A Little Night Music. Most recently on the concert stage he was the baritone soloist for the Monteverdi Vespro della Beata Vergine at the Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City under the direction of Dr. Craig Jessop and Haydn’s Seasons with the Eastman Philharmonia in Rochester, NY. In 2016 Michael received the second-place award in the Palm Springs Opera Guild Rossini Competition adjudicated by the famous Rossini tenor, Rockwell Blake. Michael is currently pursuing a doctorate in music performance and literature at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY where in 2019 will sing the title role in Mozart’s Don Giovanni.
Great teacher - funny, patient and understanding. I look forward to more lessons with Michael in the future!

I started lessons with Michael having done both contemporary voice and years of choir. But prior to training with Michael, I'd never really been coached as to how to properly sing in a classical style. He's allowed me to find an entire element of my voice I didn't know I had and made it incredibly straightforward to progress. I now absolutely love singing in a way I didn't previously think I would.

Michael is knowledgeable, funny, and thoughtful. I am a wind instrumentalist, and Michael tailored voice lessons to discuss topics specifically related to my areas of experience. I would highly recommend Michael for voice lessons!

Victorious Voices Performing Arts studio offers a wide variety of programs for all ages. In my studio, I use eclectic styles and teaching methods. My Philosophy is to use your body, mind and soul in music. I really try to cater to the needs of each individual student.
I LOVE music! I also love helping others find music inside themselves! I was fortunate enough to grow up with a voice teacher for a mother and a choral director for a father, parents who also helped others find their love for music. Music is an excellent way to tell stories and connect to your audience. I would so enjoy the opportunity to share in these experiences with my students, teaching basics in simple vocal production, developing already attained skills, and coaching performance pieces. While I am very serious about music, I fully believe that these sessions should be FUN. No one wants to put real effort into something that feels like a chore! I aim to challenge my students in a way that is enjoyable for the student, myself, and the future audiences!!
About My Studio Every person is different, from the way they look on the outside to the way they are constructed on the inside. Because of this, I have learned to be flexible when teaching students, knowing that what works for one student may not work for another. My goal in every voice lesson is to help you become a better you, whatever way fits YOU best. I enjoy many kind of musical styles, but I believe that having good technique is essential to singing in any style of music. In my audition and performance coaching sessions, I focus on more specific topics. I can help you prepare for a specific performance or audition, including finding and labeling sheet music, picking appropriate pieces and cuts, and working on your performance of selected pieces.
About Me I received a Bachelors of Music at the University of Mobile in 2017, wh
ere I studied Musical Theatre with emphasis in Vocal Performance. During that time I toured for one year with the group Voices of Mobile under the direction of Dr. Roger Breland, arranged and led music for other ensembles in the department, and performed in several productions. After graduating I have spent my time as a performer at both Universal Studios and Walt Disney World while singing as a volunteer vocal arranger with my church at the time, First Baptist Church of Windermere, FL. Since then, my husband and I have moved to the northern Alabama area to open up our schedule for new adventures.
Experienced teacher of 6 years, mentoring students of all ages and abilities in singing, music theory, and composition. Whether you have never sung a note in your life (and don't even know what a note is!) or have been singing all your life, I can meet you where you are at and help you progress even further! I specialize in vocal technique, ear training, composition technique, sight reading, and teaching theory from the very basics all the way up to Roman Numeral analysis. Please feel free to message me!
As a Sophomore at St. Olaf College double majoring in vocal church music and vocal music education, I live and breathe music! I have been teaching for six years now, having started out mentoring children in the Royal School of Church Music, a program founded in music theory, sight reading, church music repertoire, and vocal technique.
I am also a freelance composer with multiple years of composition and music theory experience. I can mentor students of all ages and abilities in music writing software (particularly MuseScore and Sibelius) and help students channel their inner creativity in composing.
Having taken classical voice lessons for six years, I can teach students proper breath support, vibrato, straight tone, releasing tension, vocal timbre, resonance, and placement. Additionally, I have vast musical theatre and jazz experie
nce and can help students to pull standards in all these genres for their pleasure.
As I am a younger teacher, I relate well with my students and have been informed of my patient nature. I am mindful of every student's individual ability, and I understand that the learning curve varies from person to person. Since I have worked with children for several years, I can easily convey theoretical concepts in different ways, using basic metaphors for a student's understanding.
If you take lessons with me, you will feel more confident in yourself and your musical abilities. And you will be able to see progression in your voice, as long as you practice and make a real effort! I am here to help.
Sarah is an excellent teacher. Our daughter enjoys her lessons, and we can already see improvement in just a handful of lessons.

I am currently learning a rather difficult Senior All-State audition piece right now, and Ms. Sarah has helped a TREMENDOUS amount! She has definitely worked really hard with me already to help my high notes come with more ease and work on other aspects of the piece such as diction. I am really happy to be working with her on this piece and continue to look forward to the progress I will make with it!

I am currently a high school sophomore and this is my first time taking voice lessons. Ms. Sarah is a very wonderful teacher. She is so patient, kind, and has a vast amount of experience with voice. Already with three lessons, I have seen great improvements with my vocal techniques, specifically with singing high notes and having better diction. I am looking forward to working with her more in the future as I audition for various groups and continue working toward being a better singer. Thank you Ms. Sarah for all that you have done for me so far, and I am so excited to continue with you!
I believe that singing is about so much. It is a way to express yourself, it is a way to gain confidence, and it is a wonderful discipline. I want to help you find YOUR voice. It would be so much fun to get to work with you on anything you might need: sightreading, Choral solos and music, your favorite pop of country song! Anything that interest you!
I am an opera singer and voice teacher. I received my bachelors in vocal performance from Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where I taught secondary lessons through the conservatory. I have performed all over the United States and in England. I am currently studying at The Eastman School of Music as a master's student. After graduation from Oberlin, I began my private studio in Texas. My weekly lessons numbered around 60. Over the last 4 years, I have taught students with a variety of interests and goals. It is important to me to find the one thing that excites my students, be that a certain song or style, or maybe how to be more comfortable singing in their church choir. In lessons, not only do we work on vocal technique, we focus on what makes their voice unique, special, and all their own. Students will always have a new building block t
o practice each week. My intention is to inspire my students to have a discerning ear and to appreciate all that goes into making a voice work. My students have been accepted to major college voice programs, as well as participated in competitions and summer programs around the United States.

Originally from Israel with Artist Diploma from Cleveland Institute of Music and Bachelor degree in Voice Performance from The Buchmann-Mehtah School of Music in Tel Aviv. I've been enjoying teaching for the past few years, giving private voice lessons and helping my students reaching their goals. I've worked and learned from some of the best singers and teachers out there including Mark Oswald, Ana María Martínez, Barbara Bonney, Mary Schiller and Sandra Lopez. My favorite music to perform is contemporary music and so I've collaborated and premiered pieces by numerous living composers. I also love sin
ging bel-canto and baroque music. New and cool projects are what I love the most! and I hope to inspire for a creative use of your voice.
Our first lesson will be all about getting to know you and your needs. We will start with some breathing and vocal exercises that you can also do on your own in between lessons. It is especially important for me to know what are your expectations and goals for the short and long term. I will tailor our lessons according to your goals and interest.
I believe that with good technique you can be in charge of your own instrument which is crucial for any style of singing. That’s why my prime goal is to help my students build a good base of technique that will allow them to approach any musical genre they'll ever wish to.
In our lessons we will work on the strength and flexibility of the muscular system we need to engage while we are singing. I will give you unique exercises to strengthen the different registers of your voice. We will work on coordination and make sure you have as many tools on hand as possible. I will concentrate in our lessons on the musical genre/s of your choice. We will learn the specific style, the different trends that are out there right now and I will help you develop your unique signature. Looking forward to working with you!
After several years of being out of practice, I was very nervous to start lessons again. Merav has been wonderful... we are bringing my voice back to life! I feel more confident with every lesson. My favorite part is the vocal exercises which really polish all the fine details. I look forward to many more. I'm lucky to have found her!

Help students to develop a strong, solid vocal foundation. We work on breathing, posture, support, releasing tension, etc..

I have been teaching for over 15 years and am passionate about helping my students unlock their full potential and helping them to discover their true voice! Students can expect to make progress in their very first lesson and continue to improve from week to week. I have worked with various students from those who are tone-deaf to professionals.
"I've taken lessons with several teachers and I've never learned anything like this before." "I can't believe the improvement I've made after a lesson or two!" "I was so nervous before starting lessons because I didn't know what to expect but I'm having so much fun!" These are comments I often hear from my new students.
"This lesson was for my 15 yo daughter. Kristen was very organized and got right to work discovering my daughter's range, teaching her how to breathe prope
rly, showing her warm-up exercises and singing a few songs they will be working on together. It was a very productive session and Kristen was very interested in keeping the lesson fun as well. A good balance of structure and play that challenges the student while keeping her engaged and eager to practice on her own. Great first lesson, and my daughter is looking forward to the next one!"
"Fantastic lessons, I learned a lot in a short amount of time."
"I had the best years with Holly as my voice teacher. She showed me ways to expand my voice and be confident in ways I didn't even know we're pissible, and
overall transformed me into a better singer. I can confidently say that she is the reason I was selected into all of my high honor achievements in chorus! In addition to being an extraordinary voice teacher, she was a friend to me and helped me through many tough times. She is so understanding and patient and any student of hers is really lucky!"
"Cheryl was a very encouraging teacher and has a beautiful voice. She made me feel very good about the progress I was making and helped me develop my voice
in a way I never knew it would! A wonderful talent and teacher."
"I have observed, first-hand, as Jeanne Deaton taught various voice lessons. She is very professional, as well as effective; she is wonderfully personable
and nurturing when that is called for. I can highly recommend her as an excellent voice teacher."
"I was very happy that he pretty well pin pointed my problem with my voice and I was happy with the practice assigned."
"Chelsea is a very knowledgable and supportive voice teacher! She pays attention to detail and explains concepts clearly."
"I absolutely adore working with Robert in preparation for my future in the voice and music industry. His technique and approach for both the voice and mus
ic theory is not only helpful but also fun. Under his instruction I'm both able to learn both technique on how to better my sound and the anatomy behind it. I enjoy going to voice twice a week and I always look forward to my lessons as they approach. I truly feel I am being prepared in the bests ways possible for my future as well as the most fun learning environment voice teachers have to offer."
