I work with Ableton live 9 as a producer, DJ and a drummer. It is an amazing tool for both live shows and composition.

About Noel
Hello everyone and welcome!

My name is Noel B., and I am a musician living and working in New York City.

When teaching a new student I employ many different methods. To me, music is about playing with people. Its important to be able to play by yourself but there are things you just can't learn unless you play with people. I liken it to taking soccer lessons but never playing on a team. Also, its important to perform. All of my students are invited to perform at a venue with a grand piano that professional musicians in the city play. This really helps the students and I set goals, and achieve them. I also use some method books, theory and other things, but just making it about playing makes the lessons much much more fun and inspiring for the students.

I currently teach at two music schools apart from my Private studio. O
ne of which is in Long Island. At this school I teach electronic music production w/ Ableton as a digital audio workstation. I also teach DJ/Turntablism along side DJ 4our 5ive (he has worked with Notorious BIG, Jay z, and is the current tour DJ for Lil Wayne). We have also started working together on performing at the venue near the school.

I hope to inspire others to pursue a musical life. No matter how serious and long, or short and light.

One of my ultimate goals in teaching is to help my students develop the skills and knowledge to not only be able to play well, but to also be able to teach themselves (and hopefully others in the future). Thank you for your time! Have a great day!

Great lesson. Worked out a plan to accomplish my goals. Noel is amazing and multi-instrumentalist which helped to combine skills and a jam session into the lesson.

Simply put, Noel is a terrific teacher! I had the itch to pick up the guitar at 39 years old, and wanted to work with someone who had a laid back approach while still having the chops and the knowledge to offer some challenges. I was not disappointed!

Noel has an extremely diverse background in much that goes well beyond the guitar - He's an awesome drummer as well. This made the lessons even more interesting since he could offer perspective from the drummer's point of view, stressing how important rhythm is to becoming a solid guitarist.

On top of everything else, one of the things I like the most about taking lessons with Noel is that sitting down with him is like sitting in on a jam session - a pretty cool feeling for someone who's somewhat new to music, but has always wanted to learn.

Great Teacher

My teacher is amazing. A master professional in his musical field. He teaches like he's done it for decades, even though so young. I would dare to say he can teach with his eyes close. I love all his teaching techniques, from theory to scale, to practicing the Hanon Studies, to ear training and on. I like how he plays along with me while teaching me a new musical score. He completely dedicated to teaching his student and making sure his pupil is satisfied with his performance. He'll even help you with preparing you for an recital or musical event. He knows how. I highly recommend for teaching any pupil from age 3 to 92. He'll ask me what I want to do next, and then we look for scores that I can learn according to my level.. He's attention to your needs as a student and works around it. I always look forward to going to my next lesson and see how I improved and what's new score he's prepare for me to learn.

About the teacher:
I first picked up a trombone when I was 12, and have not put it down for the past 18 years. After being awarded an “Excellent Player” Award by the Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society which led to the opportunity of performing with a professional Jazz Band, performing with a number of honor bands in middle and teaching at a music camp 3 summers of high school career. I decided to pursue music in College. I received a Bachelors of Music Classical Trombone Performance from California State University, San Jose. I’ve been performing professionally for 7 years and have played in every genre I could get my hands on (Classical, Jazz, Funk, Soul, Hip Hop, Musicals, Ska, Electronic).

Testimonial:
"Daniel has been teaching trombone to my teenage son. There are many aspects of his way of teaching that make him such an excellent teacher. First of of all, he is a true musician. He has an uncanny ability to share his passion for music before getting into teaching technicalities. He takes care of every musical aspect: musical knowledge, breath control, tone quality, tonguing, dynamics, and mutes. I highly recommend him. My only regret is that, since he left California, he will only be a treasure for New Yorkers...

I really like Daniel. His love for music is infectious. As a teacher, he's patient, crazy smart, and easy to be around. He's also a deep thinker, which makes him really good at using simple analogy to help me understand complex concepts. It's a fun way to learn. TBH I was very surprised to leave lessons not just having learned new ways of thinking about music, but also about myself, and how I can start moving out of my own way. I recommend Daniel without hesitation.

This Cole is King! I would give Cole 10 stars if it were possible. I had lessons with Cole in the summer of 2014 on the trumpet and let me tell you the guy is a giant on trumpet. I learned so much. I learned more in a summer's lessons with Cole than most people get in years. He made learning trumpet a lot of fun but at the same time I leaned basic skills, like how to keep beat and count. Can't say enough.

Ableton is my immediate choice for music creation. Although well-versed in Pro Tools, Ableton is the Digital Audio Workstation that gives me micro and macro tools that create a promising, experimental, and exciting workflow that is need for beat making. Ableton's session view provides an entirely new palate, untapped by other DAWs, that enhances the music into a live setting. With Ableton's integration with Link, I can program Visuals using the Resolume, the VJing software used by EDM and contemporary music events, to align a musical performance of audio and visual with BPM. Any creative venture can be achieved with Ableton in mind.

About Erick
With great passion in music and the world it has opened up to me, I'd like to extend that influence to you! I started my musical journey as a youth with the saxophone, which led me into guitar, then piano, and finally the main instrument of the world: the human voice.

All of these musical experiences have given me the ability to purse a Bachelor's degree in Music Technology at California State University, San Bernardino. I am an advocate of project-based learning, and will be here to guide you through any instruction and advise you'd like to support your musicality.

I've been involved in many roles, projects, and performances including:

A principal role in 3 CSUSB Operas
Versatile male part for CSUSB's Vocal Jazz ensemble for 5 years
Lead sound designer for multiple campus-wide interdisciplinary student films
Vice President o

Music Production

About Dylan
Hi! My name is Dylan T., aka Dyluxe, and I'm available for in-home, in-studio, and even online music lessons worldwide! I offer tutoring and mentoring on electronic music production with Ableton Live software, Ableton Push Hardware, and other software plug-ins, as well as DJing on the professional standard Rekordbox software with the Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus DJ system. All lessons are taught on a one-on-one basis and will be customized to your specific needs. Whatever your knowledge level or ability, I can teach you anything from the basics of electronic music to advanced production, engineering, and mixing techniques. My innovative hybrid curriculum will teach you to both create and perform your own original music. I have a complete in studio set up with all of the premiere tools you will need to achieve your goals. My goal is to help you
expand your knowledge of electronic music and DJing so you can bring your artistic visions to life.

I am an Ableton Certified Music Producer and Graduate of Dubspot Electronic Music School with a degree in DJing and Music Production. I also have a Bachelors Degree from San Diego State University. I am currently a resident DJ for OMNIA San Diego & Hakkasan group as well as an Internationally Touring DJ. I have performed at over 300 nightclubs, music festivals, and events worldwide alongside artists like The Chainsmokers, Marshmello, Dillon Francis, Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Steve Aoki, & many more.

Aside from my DJ career, I have a ton of experience teaching and working with children. I have always enjoyed teaching people and helping them to reach their goals. I started out at a young age as a babysitter for family friends. In high school, I took a job managing a local skatepark and giving skateboarding lessons. Once I moved to San Diego to attend SDSU, I took a side job as an activity leader for Harmonium, an after school program for elementary school students. During the summers, I also managed and taught skateboarding at the local YMCA Skateboarding Summer Camp.

Anyways, after I started to excel in my music career, friends and acquaintances started reaching out to me for advice and information. Ever since then I have been tutoring, mentoring, and helping my peers learn how to DJ, produce music, book shows, boost their marketing & much much more. I look forward to working with you and helping you to achieve your goals!

I've produced 100+ tracks using Ableton and my plugin library including Nexus, Serum, Sylenth, UAD, DadaLife, and Native Instruments.

About Christiaan
Christiaan is a multitalented performer in theater, opera, and pop music. He played Gaston in the Broadway tour of Beauty and the Beast. Something of a bad boy, he was kicked out of Opera School for singing jazz, yet he went on to earn three music degrees, and work with opera legend Marilyn Horne and avant-garde composer Jake Heggie. Now he's in New York studying with Lady Gaga's teacher and singing his own arrangements of Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5, and John Mayer at Carnegie Hall while writing and recording pop songs in Nashville and the U.K.

Christiaan enjoys seeing people succeed, so his approach to teaching is a combination of play and practice. Ultimately we sing because we want to bring people joy, yet to do so, we must hone our talents to perfection. By mixing the joy of music with discipline, we achieve our greatest dreams.
