I have been teaching voice for 17 years now. I have taught to students aged between 17 - 60 and also have worked with children aged between 4 - 14 and helped them get into children choruses in opera houses as well as preparing them later for conservatory auditions. As i am also a biodynamic breathwork trauma release system therapist , miyofascial energy release massage therapist and holding meditation workshops , i have a deeper understanding of body pressure , tension release . I also use human voice to release trauma combined with breathwork and use breath and bodywork to use voice as a whole instrument. Through these techniques i can also help you find a real connection with your heart center and work on your music through these techniques. Great singing comes from being the song itself , staying in the flow , releasing and freeing yourself with the air , while you are balanced in your body and in the spine. It is all about feeling yourself more comfortable in your being and to be ...

There are a number of reasons someone may wish to take music lessons. Whatever the specific reason, striving to achieve one’s “artistic truth” is the goal. My holistic view of education is to help a student find his/her own individual “voice” as a singer and a creative artist. I believe the role of an educator is not to relay information in a detached context, what I call teaching “at” a student, but to lead that student in a discussion of the music, pulling information from the student in a collaborative effort between two or more individuals. It is my goal to facilitate an emotionally safe environment for students to take risks, make mistakes, listen critically, and articulate his/her thoughts. We work towards freedom of expression and letting go of fear. Fear is the single greatest enemy of any artist: If you're afraid of how your music will go, you won't be making art.
A healthy mind, body, and spirit all work together to make a strong, whole individual. The development of ...

Experienced vocal coach with over 5 years of teaching in a wide variety of genres from contemporary and choral, to theater and country. I have clients ranging from those struggling with pitch, to theater students in high school, and professional musicians looking to take their skills to the next level.
For those who have trouble with pitch and have been told they are “tone deaf”. You aren’t a lost cause! I enjoy helping singers and those aspiring to sing find new levels of confidence and joy in their voice and performance.
In addition to performing professionally for over 12 years with the principal chorus of The Florida Orchestra, The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, I perform weekly alongside my husband in the Tampa Bay Area as our duo “Dear Augustine”.
I cater lessons to fit your specific needs and genre, laying a foundation of functional breathing and healthy voice function. My goal is to help you understand how the voice works and show you that you can access the tools to ...

Kat has been an excellent voice instructor for my 8 year old daughter. She is kind and patient, yet has a buoyant energy that engages my daughter in a way the some teachers cannot. The techniques and skills she is imparting to my daughter are invaluable. I highly recommend Kat for anyone (of any age too!) looking for high quality voice lessons."
