Had a great first lesson with Don. I believe I will progress nicely under his tutelage. Already have a lot to work on.

Years ago I took Guitar Lessons at a local music store ( a very prominent one) as a raw beginner and quickly became frustrated with my lack of progress. Although my teacher was a great player and "very hot" to look at I soon began to feel like I was merely his "practice dummy."... I'd play the chords he showed me, endlessly,... while he seemed to be just practicing his solo playing. ... I then tried On-Line Lessons from various sites which were actually even less helpful and soon just lost interest completely.
A friend of mine said she had taken lessons from a Don DeBold for about 5 years before going off to college and highly recommended him.
I've now been taking lessons from Don for almost 2 years and having a blast ! I've learned how to play along with most of my favorite songs (mainly Blues and Rock) and now I'm learning to play Solo Guitar that needs no accompaniment !
Unlike my first teacher, during many lessons Don barely plays or even has his Strat on his lap because he's busy concentrating on what I'm doing !
He's a stickler yet lots of fun at the same time> I super recommend him as a Guitar and Music Teacher !!! Aneiah J.

I teach you to be a musician, not just an instrumentalist. There is a huge difference. I give you material to learn while doing my best to make it fun as well. I teach you the basics and build on that foundation. You can learn the material as fast or as slow as you want. However, it is not a canned approach because every student is unique and your learning styles reflect that. My goal is your success, truly!

About Jerry

My name is Jerry. I LOVE music and passing my knowledge on to others. I have played many different instruments in many different kinds of bands/groups. They all had one major thing in common, it was FUN! If you are not enjoying learning an instrument you won't want to learn. Lessons can be fun AND

Extremely unprofessional to abruptly cancel scheduled/paid lessons without the courtesy of a message or any notice because this instructor was unhappy with a 12-year-old child's progress. Very surprised by and disappointed in the manner in which he handled this situation, certainly could have been handled with more respect and maturity.

Will is a great teacher. He's friendly and makes it easy to learn. I would highly suggest him as a teacher.

When it comes to arranging and composing music, I sometimes feel like I fall short as a musician. I usually have a multitude of ideas and some sections written in my head but I struggle with piecing everything together in a coherent way, luckily I have had the pleasure of knowing Will for a number of years, and thankfully he has helped me in this area time and time again, and the finished product is always better than the initial concept. He has a remarkable capability to recive musical ideas from others and weave those ideas into a final arrangement without straying far from the initial ideas. Like I said, I've worked with him a couple times in the past and I'll work with him again every opportunity I can, because the quality of his work and the final product is always remarkable.
David
Will helped me learn the structure of guitar chords and scales while answering any questions that I had when beginning guitar. Throughout my lessons he gave me information about chord diagrams and scale diagrams while putting an emphasis on a guitar's fretboard layout and individual notes. This knowledge allowed me to progress and learn even more about how to properly play and enjoy the guitar. The instruction was done objectively, with attention to detail, and was a great experience.

I also look forward to learning more about musical programs and production thanks to Will.

"Francesca is a wonderful teacher! She's very knowledgeable but shares that knowledge in a way that's easy to understand. I've been an amateur musician for over forty years and I've read a lot of books and watched a lot of videos. None of them explained the concepts we went over during our class as clearly and simply as Francesca. In fact, one of the things she explained had been staring me in the face for twenty or more years! She pointed it out and I had a "duh!" moment! She also has a great way of putting a student at ease and making you feel comfortable with her right away. It didn't feel like our first lesson together. Thank you, Francesca!"

"I had the pleasure of having Adam instruct me the basics of acustic country guitar for a few months. "I've been working with Ahmad for a little more than 2 years. I'm one of those folks that had the intention to learn guitar for many years, but never got over the hump. The Summer that I started taking lessons with Ahmad, it really took off for me. He's fantastically talented and skilled, but he makes it clear that his abilities came with a ton of work, and he gives you a system to get the best results out of your own practice time. He'll work with you on any song, and seems to have a taste for just about any genre of music (especially if its got some good guitar). He'll teach you some theory and get you to read music, but patiently diet this out while recognizing your excitement to learn songs (at least, this is what I'm putting him through, and I imagine others would to). He'll give you practical drills for learning scales, chords, rhythm, etc., and find ways to overlay them so you can start to stitch things together. "Putting it all together" is still a work in progress for me, but I've been pretty happy with the results over the past 2 years, and I've iteratively "ratcheted up" my expectations for where it can all go, heavily due to Ahmad's encouragement. I hope to keep getting lessons from him for a long time!"

"After working to live for many years, and after purchasing all the books, apps, and YouTube channels that seemed promising, I could never find the approach/perspective that could make the process of learning/playing the guitar not seem like an impossible amount of effort at the end of my day.

I've always wanted to be a musician, but it seemed impossible now that I turned 30 and had a corporate job. Eventually, I bought a new guitar, thinking it would my catalyst. 6 months passed and it had only become a talking piece in first dates, so I decided I needed to look for a musical aficionado.

Walking into Francesca's Studio, I felt immediately like I was in the right place.

In what I thought would take weeks, the 45 minutes I scheduled with her, we were playing and singing to some of my favorite songs.... I can't even explain how great this made me feel. I suddenly felt like I could actually achieve this bucket list dream of mine.

Francesca clearly has a talent in helping others pursue their musical dreams, and I'm excited to continue working with her to realize mine."
