Nick Russo is a fantastic tutor for kids and adults who would like to learn Ukulele, guitar, banjo or other instruments. He makes ‘learning fun’ he's friendly and cheerful. I don’t have any background in music but, Nick made it easy for me to understand the notes and how it works. I always look forward to every lesson. I Highly recommended Nick to everyone.

I’ve been taking guitar lessons with Nick now for a few months and it’s been a terrific experience — cannot say enough good things. Each lesson builds on the last and Nick tailors them to my ability and musical interests mixing in enough music theory, which makes learning both productive and enjoyable. Most importantly I feel like I’m beginning to understand how music works and not just blindly memorizing patterns or scales. I considered online courses before choosing Nick, but there’s no substitution for one-to-one instruction. Nick’s feedback and instruction are invaluable.

I was a little concerned about trying to pick up guitar in my early 40s, but its been a rewarding experience so far and I’m looking forward to more lessons with Nick.

Nick has been teaching my 7 year old guitar for one year now. His excellent, progressive curriculum, patience, and allowing my son to pick some of the music has fostered a joy in his playing and even the work that goes into learning a difficult instrument. My son even "teaches" me a weekly lesson. I couldn't recommend Nick enough!

About Collin M.

Electric Guitar is my main instrument these days, and I look forward to teaching any skill level in a variety of styles.

About Collin
I have been playing and teaching professionally for over ten years. I love to play in all styles, from classical to jazz to rock & roll. I have been playing guitar and singing with a blues rock band for over 6 years now, and have had much experience writing songs and performing live. I have also had my classical compositions performed live by local orchestras and have had some of my music featured in commercials. Recently, I have put together an album of piano and synthesizer based instrumentals.

Lesson plans are based entirely on the student. Whether the student wishes to begin just learning the songs they enjoy, decides to delve into a long term theory based program, or even both, I can create a lesson plan catered to their personal needs.

I specialize in rock & roll and all the of the music that it is built upon. Anything from
blues to country to R&B to bluegrass is something I have a strong fascination and background with. I am also extremely well versed in college level music theory, and have helped many students prepare for their AP Music Theory tests.

Before learning Classical and Jazz guitar in school, I was a full on Rocker!!! I played SRV/Hendrix style blues rock to what is now old school metal...Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, etc.
I loved early Prog Rock, pre-era of a million extra strings and down tuned everything. I still love to shred, so if you're still reading this, we may be a fit. Thanks!!!!

About Daniel
- I have a record of success with students of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and goals
- I teach using a variety of methods and styles, including my own authored books
- I own a music academy where I train others to be successful instructors
- I have a very high student retention rate
- I've been playing over 25 years
- I have a BA in Music from Florida State University
- I have been teaching for 17 years

- I have played in numerous bands
- I have gigged professionally

*** Lesson Details ***
I customize the lessons to the goals of each student. Whether it's for fun and leisure or a driven passion with serious goals, I can give you the tools to accomplish what you want! I love teaching people through the music that they love. So, whether that's Britney Spears, Metallic
a, or Bach, the concepts underlying music are basically the same. I will make sure you can play the music you love and hopefully help you explore new music as well.

*** Studio Equipment ***
In my studio I have a Guild Classical, Alvarez Acoustic, and Epiphone Electric.

All the accessories needed as well. Music Stands, Foot Stools, Picks, Straps, Slides, Tuners, Books, etc.

I also use an iMac in lessons. I like incorporating technology when appropriate, to look up tunes, or do a recording session, it's a necessary tool to learn nowadays.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I will bring everything we need to conduct a proper lesson remotely. I do recommend you have your own guitar though.

*** Specialties ***
For all the advanced knowledge I have and years of teaching students of all kinds, my favorite is teaching beginners. I love seeing someone come in with no knowledge of music, and taking them from milestone to milestone. I love watching new musicians blossom.

I play, teach, and perform most frequently in classical, rock, blues, and pop genres.

Daniel is a fun and easygoing instructor who tailors to your needs, adapting to your musical interests as well as your preferred lesson style. And it is clear that he has years of teaching experience under his belt. He has also helped me improve my music theory understanding, which has become rusty over the years. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor.

Chris is flat out the coolest and best guitar teacher I have. He’s patient and kind and very professional but also fun.
I tried other teachers and yeah they taught me a few chords or a few songs and that’s great but I wanted to actually learn not only how to play but WHAT to play and WHY.
Of course he can teach songs and it’s always fun but his knowledge of theory and scales and all the different variances is what helped take my playing to a whole other level.

I've been trying to teach myself to play the guitar for months now, and I learned more with Emiliano in 2 lessons than I did in those months. If you really want to learn to play, get a lesson with Emiliano. It is worth it. He makes things easy to understand, and was super patient with me who has zero musical talent. I am 35 years old and recently decided about learning how to play acoustic guitar; went online and after little search found Max and his classes.
From initial contact Max was very friendly, approachable and helpful.
He assisted me with and gave me good advise on purchase of my first guitar, before us even meeting in person and starting first lesson.
He is very knowledgeable about music in general and I immediately knew, that I chose the right person for the task. I have been taking his lessons once a week for almost 4 months now and feel more and more confident that one day I can master to actually play some songs I like. I am always taking/learning something new from our lessons, he would give me great feedback and homework to practice or focus on at home. He is very patient and understanding. Even with my limited time to practice at home I still feel like we're doing progress every time during the lesson. I very much recommend Max to anyone who is starting or is advanced and want to get better or master some specifics, he is definitely the right person to lead you there.
Thanks Max !!!

I love electric guitar! You will learn both rhythm and lead playing, learn to write songs, play your favorite songs, solo, and improvise. As you progress you'll learn songs by your favorite artists and maybe you'll enjoy some of my favorite acoustic guitarists like Jimi Hendrix, Gary Clark Jr, Joe Pass, Sigur Ros, Led Zeppelin, Polyphia, Stevie Ray Vaughan, the list is endless.

About Matthew
Hi, I'm Matt and I teach guitar. I know what it's like, trying to learn on your own with Youtube videos and online lessons, and it can be not only tough, but boring. My goal is to make music lessons as fun and engaging as possible while designing each lesson specifically to each student's musical tastes and needs.

The best part of our lessons is always the coffee shop jam we hold twice a year to let students play out in public.

Prices below are for lessons at my Bushwick music studio. I teach out of my home studio in Bushwick and in the West Village area.

I have been teaching music for twelve years. I earned my B.A. in Music from Belmont University and I'm currently working towards a M.M. in Songwriting at NYU. I co-founded Nashville Rock band The Delta Saints, have performed guitar in the musical Wicked on broadway, and have w
ritten and performed with artists like Steuart Smith of The Eagles and Tony-nominated Jeremy Pope. I produce, perform, teach, and write music based out of my home studio with my wife in Brooklyn, NY.

Matt was the first guitar instructor I've had that has actually taught me enough to perform! I came into his instruction learning only a couple songs by heart, and in a few months I was able to pick up on common chord progressions in popular songs and learn them so quickly. My goal was to be able to play open mic nights at my local college bar, and Matt showed me the tricks to sing and play guitar at the same time. His studio is so welcoming, lots of natural light, and easy to play a guitar in. It was nice that his wife was around sometimes during the class (made me feel more comfortable). Awesome teacher!
