Before I started my lessons with Christiaan I would blow my voice out during extended singing sessions and knew I needed to find a vocal coach with the expertise to help me to prevent permanent damage. He quickly identified my strengths and weaknesses and gave me many tools and techniques I never even thought I'd be capable of.
Christiaan has an amazing teaching style and always brings positive energy to each lesson. He knows how to offer constructive criticism in a gentle way that makes you excited to want to do better.
I'm much more motivated and confident as a singer-songwriter as a result of these lessons and I can't thank him enough for bringing that element to my life.
We worked together for a grad school audition for vocal performance. I would not have got the offer without Christiaan. He was super helpful, patient, and really helped me become a better singer/performer! Definitely recommend his lessons!

I have used DAW software as Ableton Live, FL Studio, and Linux Multi-Media Studio for several years to create original, favorably reviewed electronic music concepts. While a sizable sample of studio time has been either independent (releases on Pandora, Soundcloud, Spotify) or for multimedia, as E-Learning/Articulate360, the initial impulse was to contribute acoustic backgrounds and creative inspiration for live bands. I have released several singles and albums on Pandora, Soundcloud, Spotify, ITunes, Amazon, Youtube, and related media outlets. Additionally, my songs have been trending on multiple playlists from magazines and music agents. This includes a reader submission reward for an exemplary genre demo. I have garnered over 100K listeners and followers on various channels. Essential for a decent command of Ableton Live is to learn both session and arrangement views. We study systematically the task and the art of embedding vocals, instruments, midi, effects, automation, and ...

Currently, he does audio engineering and mixing for Rapper Twista, nothing to sneeze at, right? He's signed as a pop dance producer, working in EDM and house. So he focuses on more of the electronic top 40, i.e. he's worked with The Chain Smokers. Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. In Chicago, hip hop is the main thing. Some of the biggest rappers come out from Chicago, but most of his music comes out of Amsterdam.
He gave me the basics of Ableton, which was GREAT. I learned about EQ, compression, reverb, delay and phasors. We took a song by Bonobo (Ketto) and tried to reverse engineer all the tracks. This was hard, but in so doing, I got exposure to Splice and a host of amazing plug-ins. Every lesson was eye opening for me. I felt like I was dipping my toes into a vast ocean, and like a kid in a candy shop. These were awesome. Highly recommended.
