I believe that anyone who can speak can learn to sing! I teach based on music theory, technique, and repertoire building. The three register method I use can be applied to any style of singing from Opera to Pop. I have an Artist Certificate in Voice, a BA in Voice Performance, and an MAT in Choral Conducting. My specialty is Vocal Pedagogy, which means that I teach students the correct way to sing to ensure a safe and healthy instrument. I have been teaching private voice for ten years, and have a proven track record of students who have gone on to be successful in achieving their goals.

About Andrea

I began singing in a local children's choir when I was ten, and haven't looked back since! I attended the Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities in Greenville, SC where I studied Opera and Musical Theater Voice. I then went to the College of Charleston where I completed a BA in Voice Performance and an MAT in Choral Conducting. I love singing, and love teaching others to love singing as well! I teach music full time and am the Musical Theater Director at Porter Gaud in Charleston, SC. I teach voice using registers and correct technique so that my students can sing whatever style of music best suits their interests. I am an avid Vocal Pedagogist and I present at State and National level conferences in the field of healthy singing.

Vocal techniques that will keep you from getting hoarse when you sing for an hour.

About Sara Ann

I pace our lessons and over explain a technic to make certain the client gets the concept in a HUMORFUL, JOYFUL way. Patiently we apply it to a song that is your target song or to how and what you want product or YOU you want to sell to clients/your job/your promotion/ your new career.
With two masters degrees in voice and speech-language pathology, with specializing in eliminating chronic hoarseness and giving you the perfect foreign accent, I am a premier singing teacher who still sings at jazz jams sessions and former university professor of Kristin Linklater and Alexander methods. I previously was a full time professor of voice and music education, a Fulbright instrumental/vocal teacher at high school level, an elementary music supervisor. Presently, I am a film experienced screener for festivals, play bass guitar, I teach in pers

on onsite in a group, on Skype, and in Buckhead Atlanta 1:1 pitching your voice as an actor or salesman or singer. Clients love how I mold at least one technique to your speaking & singing voice the first 30 minute session.

Sara was wonderful. She taught me NVC framework that was very much helpful in sharing my feelings with another person. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to improve social communication skills. I am going to take her class again once my work has slowed down!

Sara Ann is amazing! I absolutely loved the lessons with her. She is definitely an expert. Not only she spotted all my bad habits with pronunciation and provided exercises and training to get rid of them, but she also made every lesson fun.

I had 4 lessons with her so far, now waiting for my last one. She asked me to tell her what I would like from her for my last lesson... honestly, I want her to keep doing what she's been doing - nothing different. I don't think a teacher can get any better than her!

Thanks, Sara Ann!

As a bass opera singer and professional voice over artist, I am dedicated to creating a healthy and beautiful sound with my own voice and the voices of my students. I will not come into our lessons saying there is a single way to sing. In fact, many genres require a great deal of varying vocal techniques and stylized voices. What I will do is help to lay a foundation in healthy singing so that you feel comfortable singing any genre. We will start by ensuring that your breath and vowel placement feels comfortable and from there move into repertoire of your choosing or some that I recommend based upon your interests. You will leave your tenure with me empowered to continue your passion and career for singing long after your lessons end. Music is meant to be shared. Together, we will help you to share the music and passion that you hold so dear.

About Matthew

Hello, my name is Matthew F. and I am a professional opera singer based out of Philadelphia. As a current roster musician with Philadelphia Opera, I know what it means to perform at some of the highest levels houses in the country. My travels have taken me across the country, singing in over 20 productions in the last three years. Now, I am returning back to Philadelphia to teach full time as I once had. Previously a student teacher at the Masterman School, I have had a true passion for music education for as long as I have been a musician. My students have grown both personally and musically through our tenure together. This is because I offer lessons that not only grow your singing ability but help to enhance your comfort for performance, public speaking, and general engagement in the production of sound. Through our lesson plans, you w

ill even begin to see changes in how you speak as our core focus will be on breath control, vowel placement, and healthy vocalizing so that you may feel comfortable singing any genre of music. While we will focus on classical training, I want to work with you on whatever repertoire you’d like! If you’re preparing for your school’s musical, a great karaoke with friends, or just some fun shower singing, I will get you there.

Matthew has been excellent! He took the time to get to know my goals and really understands what I’m looking for. After just a few lessons, I’ve learned a lot about opera/classical singing from the ground up and have already developed a much deeper appreciation for singers. I can’t recommend Matthew highly enough.

With each individual student, I have 4 objectives:
1. Learn what the student's musical goals are
2. Set tangible actions to obtain goals
3. Give real feedback and track progress
4. Create opportunities for student to dream bigger

About Brittany

I have been actively singing and performing since I was three years old, playing piano since I was 7 and dancing for over 12 years.

Music:
I graduated from Northwest University with a BA in Music in 2018. Most of my musical background began and remained in the church, playing and leading worship teams. I am now leading the worship teams for a church in Seattle and love getting to train and inspire others in their musical gifts.

My love for music blossomed from my passion for performing and creating. My whole life has been centered upon music... at home, at school, at work, at church, at my ballet studio, and more. My husband and I even met because of a band and a choir... just like a romantic movie! In our free time, we enjoy creating covers of songs together and playing in bands with one another.

I have experience in a varie

ty of vocal genres including classical, pop, choral, jazz, broadway, and recording. I was the biggest choir nerd you could meet in high school and college, spending my entire class day in and out of our choir room.

I began playing piano at 7 years old because I wanted to impress everyone during music class. I eventually fell in love with the instrument and prided myself on my ability to sight read music. My favorite form of piano is playing pop and worship music where you are given the freedom to create beautiful sounds out of very little written direction.

Dance:
I have been dancing since I was 12 years old with a primary focus in ballet and lyrical partnered with exposure to all different forms of dancing. I began my training at Studio West Dance Academy in Olympia, WA where I performed over ten different roles in the Nutcracker, participated in four years of traveling galas, and more showcases than I can remember.

I attended Evergreen City Ballet's summer intensive in Renton, WA., Paradosi Ballet's summer intensive in Tacoma, WA. and was selected to take part in Boston Ballet's summer intensive for an entire summer. Unfortunately, I suffered from foot injuries that took me off pointe shoes and forced me into rest (when I was abel to focus on music). Since then, I have been able to take adult classes at Westlake Dance Center in Bothell, WA and love to be able to invest in the next generation of dancers.

My passion in life is to see people come alive and create something beautiful. My love for the arts and desire to create is something I hope to spread to others. The moment you see someone play a tricky note sequence or sing something they never thought they could hit is the most rewarding feeling there is.

Private Classical Voice Teacher

I am a recent graduate and studied vocal performance and pedagogy. I love singing and figuring out the best way to teach each student as an individual. I know that everyone learns differently and I want the lesson to be as fun and efficient as possible! I have experience teaching everything, from the "broadway belt" (in a healthy way) to classical arias and art songs, to popular music!

Let's see if we're a good match!

About Mackenzie

I am a singer, piano player, and church choir director. I graduated from Central College in Pella, IA with a BA in biology and music, specifically vocal performance and pedagogy.

I have had the opportunity to sing with world renowned artists, including Gabriel Espinosa, Kim Nazarian, Ethan Butler, and more! This has given me great insight into the music business and the importance of networking.

Creating individualized lessons for each student is the name of my game. I enjoy creating music with my students and troubleshooting during each lesson. I am always reading on the latest techniques and repertoire for students of all ages, to make sure my students are getting the best and newest information.

A BA in music also requires a large amount of music theory and history, which I enjoy adding into lessons. If interested in a more

in depth study into this, I would be happy to add more into each lesson! Understanding context of a piece of music is incredibly important to know before singing it, which is why I like to go over just a little bit of history with each piece.

I enjoy teaching all styles of music; Broadway, classical, gospel, pop, and everything in between! Know that the foundation for all of these styles is the same, so if you are interested in learning multiple styles, it will be easy to do!

I look forward to meeting with you and creating together!

Mackenzie (Mack) was an excellent teacher. I hadn't had music or voice training since middle school and she was very helpful, despite me being tone deaf. Overall, it was a great experience and now I can sing without embarrassing myself!

"Excellent first voice lesson. Jillian is warm, encouraging, and very knowledgeable. I was surprised how many "technical" issues she introduced me to (opt
imal breathing & how best to practice it at home; appropriate use of falsetto at upper limit of bass voice range, etc.) . Looking forward to continued lessons. (Much better use of what used to be my copay for psychotherapy! I've also joined rehearsals with new Encore-NYC chorale group in Manhattan, for people over 55. Music is giving me a real emotional lift in my retirement.)"

"Robert Aaron Taylor

My husband and I are both musicians and have studied music for many years. We were looking for a qualified voice teacher for our da
ughter, to prepare for an important audition. She wanted to sing opera and did well learning the arias and studying various opera singers on You Tube; but sometimes her throat would hurt. She needed to learn healthy vocal techniques.

Robert immediately, gave her several exercises to develop her breathing, an increase her volume. They also worked on her diction in Italian, French and German, always enthusiastic an encouraging. Robert went above and beyond to help Ashley gain the confidence that she needed and to bring out the best in her.

We highly recommend Robert Aaron Taylor"

Also, I encourage all parents to bring their children with her because she is one of the best singing teachers you can find in Texas."

"Initially I was skeptical to have a singing lesson over Skype. However, the lesson that I had with Asuka exceed my expectations. I'm recently retired and
have always wanted to be able to sing well. Asuka is bringing me closer to my goal of being a very good singer. I can actually now support my pitch with proper breathing and support. I also love the fact that I can do this from Skype. She is completely setup and uses a piano or synthesizer for a very effective lesson."
