The process of unlocking, discovering, and understanding your voice is an intimate and exciting process and I love to partner with my students on this journey. I have had incredible teachers in my life who have inspired me tremendously, and it is my goal to build a trusting relationship with my students in this same way. I truly believe that anybody can sing, and I realize how important it is that my students feel comfortable and safe trying out new things and expressing vulnerability.

Lessons will be completely individualized within the framework of learning a healthy vocal technique and a mix of healthy vocal repertoire. We will work together to meet your goals and find your unique voice. My experience is in working with children, teenagers, young adults and adults of all ages and backgrounds. We have worked on a wide range of vocal genres, styles, languages, repertoire and topics. I cannot wait to meet you!

I am a Bronx native professional opera-singer that has been studying singing for 10 years and playing piano since the age of 7. I have been teaching both voice and beginner to intermediate piano to all ages for five years throughout the Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens. My voice and piano lessons focus on developing a healthy technique, learning how to sight read, music theory, breathing exercises, acting, and having fun. I teach all genres and can help with audition preparation. My credits include getting students into competitive music schools including Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School and Talent Unlimited High School.

About Linda

Audiences throughout the U.S. have heard Ecuadorian and Puerto-Rican Mezzo-Soprano Linda Collazo at venues including Carnegie Hall, the United Nations, Lincoln Center, the United Palace Theater, and Repertorio Español, as well as in theaters throughout Europe. Linda has helped me grow as a singer and performer. She helped me develop a head voice, and helped me to feel confident singing in it. Linda was always professional and pushed me to reach my potential. Each week I looked forward to go to class and learn more as I sung and got feedback. I now have a range when I sing. I recommend Linda to anyone is looking to grow as a singer, performer, or who just wants to learn how to sing.

Linda was such an amazing teacher! She helped me a lot with my singing and I now have discovered that I have a head voice thanks to Linda, it was a real game changer for me. I really liked how Linda pushed my to continue to use my head voice she kept me on my toes which made me grow as a singer. I would definitely recommend!

Linda is a great teacher . I’ve been taking piano lessons with her and every week I can see an improvement in the way I play. She is very thorough and makes sure I understand the basics before moving on to the next lesson. I’m enjoying playing the keyboard and look forward to my classes every week.

I am studying to become a professional classical singer. Through my own training, I have discovered that having an amazing teacher – one who is supportive, caring, and hard working, and who will push you and work with you to be better – is the most important tool an aspiring musician can have. I believe that every student is different, as no person's body is the same, and no vocal instrument is the same. Based on my performance in the Teaching of Singing course at Oberlin Conservatory of Music, I was selected to be a voice teacher to non-Conservatory students at Oberlin College. I have now had several students, two of whom, with my assistance, have just been accepted to prestigious summer programs in classical voice. Though I have only been teaching voice to others for a year now, I have been teaching myself alongside my own teachers through practice and independent work for the past nine years, and I have discovered countless techniques and tricks to help every aspect of singing.

Rachel is a great vocal instructor and gave me the confidence to learn and discover my own voice. As a beginner with no experience in vocal training, I was able to learn the basics of posture, setup and breath and of course singing. I enjoyed lessons with Rachel and would highly recommend working with her.

I am a creative and innovative instructor who loves helping each student find their voice and pursue their unique interests musically.  I completed my Masters in Music at Northwestern University in 2015, where I sought to create and present exciting multimedia recitals that combined classical music with other art forms. I believe one of the most important things we can do as musicians is connect music to our larger experiences, and, in my lessons, I help students form a strong technical and theoretical foundation as well as connect to the deeper meanings and connections of songs. For the past 3 years, I have taught voice and piano lessons with Flatts and Sharpe Music Company in Chicago and have extensive experience teaching online lessons.

About Harrah

I earned my Master’s degree from Northwestern University where I appeared in numerous operas and premiered several works by contemporary composers. As the Assistant Artistic Director of the new music coalition, NONop, I searched for new and exciting multimedia performances practices and directed an

I believe in the extraordinary power of music to communicate, to inspire and, often, to heal. That belief underlies all my work. I’ve been a classical singer for 30 years and have sung leading soprano roles with the Caramoor Music Festival, the Aspen Music Festival, the Britten/Aldeburgh Festival, Glimmerglass Opera, and the Orchestra of St. Luke's, among many others. The fundamentals of classical vocal technique underlie all my teaching, but the individual approach is tailored to each student, whatever his or her age or experience.

My goal is to help you find the power to express through singing your unique self. It doesn't matter whether your voice is professional quality or whether it's even "good" in the conventional sense. It's YOUR voice. It has its own sound and characteristics, its own particular beauty, and the world needs to hear you!

I have advanced training and expertise in musical study and vocal pedagogy, but the most important qualities I offer as a teacher are the ...

Nancy is kind and caring. She really takes the time to get to know you and your voice in order to craft a method that works best for you. I started out with no real experience and a bunch of bad habits, and she has been able to effortlessly work with that. I look forward to my lesson with her every week. I knew the moment I saw her profile that she stood out from the rest. Don't hesitate to give her a try!

Nancy is the best instructor i could have hoped for! I was very shy and insecure about my voice. She knew exactly how to work with me to sing confidently.
After a month of working with Nancy, i realized that with practice, i too can become a good singer. My goal is to have a mini concert for friends this summer. I’m confident that my lessons with Nancy will get me there

Hi! My name is Grace, and I'm so excited to help you reach your singing and performing goals!

I believe that all voice techniques, whether classical, broadway, screamo, or even just speaking, rely on vocal health. I want to help you sound as good as you can, for as long as possible. I will help you truly connect to your breath, find your core tone, and use your technique to further your artistry.

Classical music goes so far beyond Puccini and Mozart, and I have a special interest in performing and teaching the works of living, American, female, BIPOC, and LGBT composers. I want to find music that makes you excited, because that is always what you'll sound best on!

I am a graduate of the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University, where I studied classical voice under Dr. Gayle Shay. I have performed in Europe with Festivale Lyrique-en-Mer in France, OperaLucca, and Festival of International Opera in Italy. I've performed Mozart, Schoenberg, Sondheim, and everywhere in between.

About Grace

I know every student is different, and I try my best to reflect that in my teaching. However, all students can expect to learn and refine their vocal fundamentals. A good technical foundation is absolutely necessary not only to sound your best, but also to preserve your vocal health. I also believe

"I selected Elizabeth as my classical vocal teacher when I moved to North Scottsdale and have been very pleased with my experience thus far! My voice has improved in tonality, quality and all over sound. Currently, I am relearning music techniques and correcting bad singing habits. After we ran thru a variety of scales and arias in our first practice she suspected I was only utilizing half of my vocal range. I thought, "ya ya, okay". But, Aaah, she was right! I've always placed myself as Mezzo-Soprano/Contralto ( a 2nd Soprano-1st Alto) but after improving some techniques, at her recommendation, I am discovering a very high song bird-esque Soprano sound coming from me! I am beyond thrilled at my newly discovered voice set and am looking forward to unearthing more of it."

Definitely would recommend!"
