Catherine is a calm, kind but no nonsense teacher. She has a passion to help her students grow. She has enabled me to hear my music in a way I never could before. She has also taught me a great deal about staying on the beat which is the foundation to truly expressing any piece of music and essential to playing with other musicians. In addition she is very good at helping students understand the basic techniques of piping. Her many years as a professional solo piper and playing in bands give her a deep reservoir for students to tap into. I give her my highest recommendation.
