Eric is the greatest. I enjoyed the experience working with him, how he took me to the another level with my voice. He is a great musician and teacher. Looking forward to working with him again.

Overall I had a good experience with Eric. I was hoping to learn more technical skills about the voice and breathing tips and tricks which I feel like I didn't get much of. For me, that was a miss but he has some really great warm-ups that I have still been utilizing. I feel that most of the lesson was just about getting through songs versus understanding areas of difficulty within the voice and why that issue is occurring.

I found Eric Jayk through the group online classes and wow, what a great Teacher. I’ve taken several of the classes with many different Teachers but after taking one class with Eric J I keep coming back to his Classroom. He is practically a musical genius. You can tell he is very talented yet he has a unique way of making you feel at ease which is the key to learning to singing well. He really knows how to get you to where you want to go in the quickest time. I have struggled with vocal nodules many years ago and after taking classes with him I now know why. I am learning how to place my voice correctly in the mask and also how to properly use my breath so as to control everything. He is the best Teacher I’ve come across thus far for singing. He sends recap videos afterwards for you to use in practice as well. Love his classes and how kind, patient and professional he is. He’s not limited to one type of music. He teaches you so that you can sing ANYTHING. Thanks alot.

Private Electric Guitar Teacher

I have taught guitar since 2012 and have been playing since 2000. I am happy to take students at the beginner and intermediate levels. I believe strongly in integrating music theory and ultimately moving students toward musical self-suffiency, rather than focusing exclusively on learning particular pieces.

About Ben

Hi, there! My name is Ben and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2012 and have taught students of all ages from 3 to adult. I have experience not just with teaching but also with writing, recording, and performing music in successful bands and on multiple instruments

Ben has been instructing my 2 kids (now aged 11 and 9) in-home for at least 5 years. We started off with piano for the first few years but then switched to a combination of piano and acoustic guitar (half a session dedicated to each instrument).

He is patient, kind, and highly knowledgeable. I clearly see the upward trajectory in my kids' musical capabilities. One of my kids can be difficult to deal with, especially when he is tired, but Ben would mold his approach to the lesson on the spot to keep my kid engaged (e.g., instead of continuing the lesson on the actual piano, he'd switch to a fun music-oriented game).

I hadn't played a musical instrument since elementary school when I started Ukulele lessons with Ben. Ben started from the beginning, answered all my questions along the way, and built upon that information in each lesson. It wasn't in a didactic way, but in a way that was really customized to fit my Ukulele lesson goals. Ben's teaching style is very flexible also. I had some Ukulele lesson books I had been gifted and we worked from those. I didn't feel that I had to buy a bunch of additional equipment, books, etc.

I recommend Ben as a music teacher. He is understanding, encouraging, and inspirational. I am looking forward to continuing lessons with Ben and JC Instrumental.

Ben has been working with our daughter since January 2019, when she turned 6 1/2. He arrives at our home on time each week and he works with her at an age appropriate level. We appreciate that he recognizes the effort she puts into the weeks when she practices often and he gently makes her aware when she hasn't practiced enough. He always speaks with her in a kind way and with us in a collaborative manner. We all want her to enjoy her piano experience, and we are thankful to have found Ben just a few blocks away from our home.

My students can expect a lesson plan that will help them achieve their personal goals on the electric guitar. Whether it's playing a couple of popular rock-riffs like Iron Man or learning how to tastefully comp a ii-V-I Jazz chord progression. We'll learn the guitar rudiments and throw in an appropriate amount of music theory that fits with your goals.

About Chris

Chris grew up hearing his dad play guitar around the house and at live shows. He “caught the bug” around age 13 and hasn’t stopped playing since! My 13-years old son was reluctant to take music lessons. He had not liked piano (with a different instructor) when he was younger, but agreed to try guitar. Since the first trial lesson, he has been excited to learn more!

Chris is a fun teacher who knows his stuff and who communicates well with both his students and their parents. I have three kids and have found it’s difficult to find a teacher who is responsive to parents + engaging with youth + gifted at music.

His rates are very reasonable for our area. His in-home lesson space is professional and comfortable — I get to sit on a comfy couch and get work done during my son’s weekly lesson. In addition, Chris goes above and beyond to make sure the lessons are meeting our expectations. He tracked down strings for us when we accidentally broke one. He has rescheduled lessons due to our busy schedules. He is genuinely kind and such a pleasure to work with — we couldn’t be more thrilled!

Our kids have loved working with Chris. He picks songs they're excited to play, teaches them patiently, and has a lot of fun with them. They've made a ton of progress since they started with Chris, and they're always excited to see him!

I've taken lessons before and have always become disappointed because there was never any structure to the lessons and theory was treated as secondary. I wanted to really delve into theory because that is the knowledge needed to have no limits. Finally, I found Jimmy. He is a true teacher. Jimmy makes sure he teaches you the theory behind what you are doing. I have been playing for over ten years and was not progressing. After just a few lessons with him, I am starting to truly see the fretboard. I am finally excited again!

I'm quite an experienced singer. I've been seen in a cappella groups and bands and solo for many years however recently I've had trouble reaching my higher range and difficulty with falsetto. James has helped me to figure out the issue and I'm working on proper breath support and other issues I was having. My hope is to continue singing for the rest of my life and James has given me proper approach for vocal longevity.

Stephen is a very knowledgeable and professional music instructor. I have been taking lesson at his studio for about 8 months. I go there once a week for my 45 min class and practice 15 min every other days at home. Now I can play the musics I like. Also, during the lesson, he always put the me in the live band situation so I can react to the beats and rhythm from different instruments. Fun!!!!!!!!!"

Most importantly he is an extraordinary musician, he knows his stuff, and he knows how to communicate it to a student. His knowledge spans far beyond a pro and his teaching skills surpass many "professional" teachers I have worked with in the past. Nothing but a joy every lesson. "My son was given a guitar by a family member and showed variable interest until Greg started to teach him - Greg has woven elements of what my son needs to learn to improve with how these elements are used by some of the biggest and best guitarists ever and really changed practice from being a chore to something that can be fun. This is the way Greg said he would teach and he’s sticking very much to it! A great instructor that my son really enjoys going to - thanks Greg!!"

"Greg sold me my first acoustic guitar at 13 years old. It was a fender acoustic and I bought it with no knowledge and he pushed me towards an acoustic guitar he felt was quality and a great starter guitar. I taught myself for a couple of years and than my parents let me get guitar lessons When I was 16. I was really into heavy metal music, yet Greg made sure I knew the basics. His lessons were very individualized and made sure that when I was learning the basics that I knew what I was working towards. I remember one lesson he gave me a riff to work with, after I had it down he revealed to me that it was Miley's party in the USA. He showed me a song I wasn't interested in learning and taught me how I can make it into a genre that appealed to me. I told Greg that I was really interested In guitar upkeep and he taught me how he cleans guitars and does adjustments in his shop. Greg Campbell takes the time with his students and makes sure he his teaching them in what they are interested in, yet at the same time makes sure the basics are hammered home and are appreciated."
