Classical Voice Lessons in Leakesville. Amazing Teachers.

All ages are welcome. I am an experienced musician and educator with a B.M dual degree in Jazz Composition and Performance from Berklee College of Music, as well as a Master of Music Theory and Composition Degree in Scoring for Film and Multimedia from New York University.

I encourage learning with creativity and curiosity, which makes the lessons both fun and productive. I mainly teach voice, piano, music theory and composition lessons for all ages.

Besides these subjects, I also give lessons for ABRSM exam prep, college-bound musician prep, music theory placement exam, music history placement exam, ear training, arranging, orchestration, counterpoint, classical harmony, jazz harmony, Logic Pro, Sibelius and Pro Tools.

Well hey there! If you're ready to learn proper vocal technique that can then be used to sing everything from Mozart to Modern pop then I am the teacher for you. I've been singing all of my life and am vocally trained with 20 years of teaching under my belt. I don't believe in 'one-size-fits-all' teaching and love creating custom exercises and activities to help you reach your singing goals. What I DO believe is that music should be fun.
I'll teaching you how to sing solo, in a duet, with background tracks, or with a simple guitar or ukulele accompaniment.

I available to teach classical voice. Hour sessions are available but count as two 30 minute sessions back to back.

The voice is the grandest instrument of all instruments. For 20 years, Steven B is one of the best instructors out there. He teaches in students’ homes across the United States as easily as in the Coronado Music Studio. Provide teaching at all stages. All skill levels taught. Complete beginners are welcome. Mr. Bruce intersects methodologies of Bel Canto, Alexander's technique, and the secrets of singing. By the way, Alexander’s technique can bring back to health a damaged speaking voice, as well as keeping the singer’s voice sound and pain free. Broken down, singing involves three areas: mind, technique, and performance. There are many technical concepts to train in singing. From vowel shapes, to understanding consonants, to landing gently on high notes. Great technique leads to great expression. Steven B is skilled in educating a student for an audition or performance. The chief purpose of singing is to bring oneself joy. Prepare to learn a lot and have fun!

Lessons will consist of a 30 minute warm up, 20 minutes exploring classical repertoire, and 10 minutes of Music Theory and Sight Reading.

Extensive background in opera performance, over 50 roles both nationally & internationally.

Doctorate degree - Training in production & stage direction.
