Oboe Lessons in Clark. Amazing Teachers.

Experienced Music teacher of 8 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of their instrument and theory skills. I specialize in all styles. Typically, I use a variety of method books to pick from to meet the needs of the students. I also have many tools available to use during lessons.
My students have gone on to NYSSMA and on to college auditions successfully!

I teach how to play with appropriate technique, fingers, breath support and control.

I am very passionate about music and oboe, so I can provide lots of important info about college auditions and prepping for an upcoming concert! I have played many pieces from the standard oboe repertoire and have learned many of the prominent orchestral excerpts for oboe! I can also help with any reed making questions!

With 10 years of teaching experience, I specialize in working with students of all ages and abilities. Lessons incorporate music theory, technique, and lyrical expression. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

I hold a Master's Degree in Oboe Performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach. During my studies I studied with Carolyn Hove and Humbert Lucarelli.

I've been teaching private music lessons for nearly 30 years. I taught public school music (beginning band) and then spent 10 years at a university training future music teachers. I run an active studio, direct music at a church and perform regularly. I have a PhD in education with an emphasis in music.
