I have been playing guitar since I was 8 years old, teaching guitar since I was 16 and through takelessons since 2013. My method is step-by-step and easy and to understand. I want to help you to become a great guitarist!

Lead & Rhythm Guitar:

Chord voicing: triads, four note open/closed chord voicing, chord melodies, comping, strumming, fingerstyle, standard grooves in various styles

Step-by-step approach to soloing/improvisation:
major & minor scales & modes & arpeggios, blues/pentatonic scales and "licks". Phrasing & line
development over simple - sophisticated harmonic changes Alternate/sweep & tremolo picking, hybrid picking, slide guitar, hammer on/pull offs, (up to 8 finger) tapping, bending and whammy techniques.

I started teaching myself guitar when I was 10. Later, in high-school, my teacher frustrated with my lack of practicing came up with an idea to light a fire under me. They suggested I teach a younger classmate. Not only did I finally start practicing, but I fell in love with teaching as well. Thanks to that, I have played over 1,000 shows, both solo and as an auxiliary musician for other touring acts. I performed on over 30 albums and have composed for radio, television, and internet video series, including sharing the stage with members of the 10,000 Maniacs. I've been featured in The New York Times, on the CBS Evening News, and on NPR.

I have over 6 years of experience teaching private lessons in addition to teaching seminars on songwriting and music business at Infinity Visual and Performing Arts and SUNY JCC.
