I am classically trained and have worked with the Milwaukee Opera company. Whatever your vocal needs and desires for advancement are I can tailor a lesson for you.

Including warm-ups, repertoire, vocal technique, performance practice, breathing, phonation, pitch, diction, and musicality.

Teaching goals concern vocal and breath efficiency, clarity, optimal projection, and strength building.

Experienced Music teacher of 8 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of their instrument and theory skills. I specialize in all styles. Typically, I use a variety of method books to pick from to meet the needs of the students. I also have many tools available to use during lessons.
My students have gone on to NYSSMA and on to college auditions successfully!

Students who study with me learn a technique based on clear, focused vowels, with a ringing tone. I am able to teach art song in Latin, German, French, Italian, and English, as well as operatic and musical theater styles. I am interested especially that young singers begin on a good foundation with repertoire suitable for their voices. I help my students achieve goals such as placement in choirs and participation in vocal public performance.

Lessons will consist of a 30 minute warm up, 20 minutes exploring classical rep, and 10 minutes of Music Theory and Sight Reading.

I have been teaching singing for 14 years. I specialize in pairing healthy vocal technique with music that engages your personality to bring out your joy in a musically engaging performance. Singers are actors, too! I teach all genres of music, with a vast knowledge of singing in Italian, French, German, and Spanish, in addition to English. If you have an audition, I can help prepare you and your materials, with focus on healthy breathing and vocal production. I want my students to reach their musical potential and aspirations while having a wonderful time!

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Music and Communications from Hobart & William Smith College. As a musician, I have been singing and writing songs for basically my entire life. I am a classically trained vocalist, and I am extremely comfortable working with all types of music, ranging from opera to pop to acapella. I truly love being a part of their journey furthering their love for music and helping others find their voice . Throughout my singing career I've been involved in state vocal completions, multiple choirs, musical theater, acapella groups, background singing and having a blast singing with live bands. I have been a vocal instructor for over four years and in that time have taught students ranging from 3-71years old. During my teaching career I've learned every voice is different and has the potential for great things and my job is to help my students discover it. I enjoy blending what I've learned while being a professional vocalist as well as using the tools I've gained in my music education.

My teaching mantra is that all styles are possible through classical technique. I like to have fun too, so once we put in the work, its time for the fun! I also believe that unless you are truly tone deaf, anyone can be taught to sing properly and beautifully! Join me on the journey!
