Hi there! My name is Andy and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2002 and have loved helping my students to become good guitarists and musicians. I went to Berklee College of Music and earned a Bachelor of Music in 2002 (Magna Cum Laude).
I'm an open-minded and optimistic person. I have taught hundreds of students over the years and have developed a lot of my own teaching materials along the way. I'm very flexible in the way I teach and I always try to find out what type of learners my students are, so I can design a personalized practice plan for fast progress. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!
He was amazing! My son could not be happier. Super great guy and wonderful teacher.

Andy was my guitar instructor for more than year. He is a master in theory and practice and is able to bring you to the highest levels. The breath of learning opportunities he offers in terms of techniques, styles, rhythms, songs etc is huge and allows for training and development in the desired areas at every possible level. And he can back up the lessons by the underlying music theory as needed. In practice, Andy quickly spots where issues lie and provides useful hints to overcome technical problems. In addition he offers useful material which helps when practicing at home.

You got to know the rules 1st, before you can then break the rules. This is how you develop your own unique style. And it's what separates the Pro Players from the rest of the pack.
But even if you don't want to play professionally, maybe you just want to learn a few chords, licks, songs, for yourself, or to impress friends. That's okay too!
I welcome every level and style. I always learn something from my students. That's what music is all about. Learning & trading tips and licks from other musicians.
Bottom Line Is... I can help you learn and progress on your instrument faster...
Let me be the Music Coach to get you there!

My name is Tim C and I'm a music teacher at North Andover High School. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2016, majoring in Guitar Performance. I am well-educated and well-versed in many styles including blues, funk, R&B, classical, and rock. My only goal in teaching my students is to assist them in reaching their own goals and accomplishing what they want to achieve as a musician or guitar player.
Together we will play and begin to understand a multitude of styles and techniques, the role of the guitar pickup and their many styles, uses, and purposes, the amplifier and how it is part of your instrument, and how to utilize effect pedals in your guitar signal chain.
If you're a beginner, we're going to focus most specifically on your guitar playing abilities, including your rhythm, ear training, we'll learn chords, basic fretboard theory and how to fully utilize your entire guitar neck.
If you're a more advanced player, we'll focus on more advanced rhythms and ear training, picking techniques, fingerpicking, more advanced harmony and chord voicings, reading music, extended chords, and getting into effect pedals, and which ones to utilize for yourself.
I have found the best approach to doing this is by selecting music that you like to listen to and play, as it is much more fun to practice something that you enjoy rather than doing busywork to build skill.
Hi, I'm Tyler! Born and raised in Roswell, New Mexico, I am the son of a band director. That being said, I have literally been involved in music since I was an infant! I played trombone, bass trombone, and bass guitar all the way through high school, and went to New Mexico State University where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Music, and then moved to Los Angeles, California, where I received my Master's Degree at California Institute of the Arts, where I also learned to play the other brass instruments, as well as composition and arranging.
Throughout my career, I've been able to do some great things with music. I have been able to travel Europe and work with one of the world's finest brass instrument manufacturers, Michael Rath, I have toured Colombia with my University's Wind Ensemble, I've recorded at Capitol Records in Hollywo
od, and have written and premiered numerous works for orchestra and rock ensemble, trombone choirs, and even a duet for quarter tone trumpets!
I have an affinity for modern and avant garde music, but am well-versed in all genres and musical styles! I also like to play in and record rock and roll bands, I've amassed a quite a few years of recording experience as well. From gypsy bands to thrash metal groups, I've recorded a wide array of music.
I also taught in the classroom from grades k-12 for a few years before following my true passion of teaching privately. I love to reach you at your own level and work to grow with you from there.
My goal is simple: I simply want you to come to love music as much as I do, if not more! I strive to give you the tools to become a successful musician in your own right, and I work to keep my lessons fun and engaging.
Tyler arrived early, spent lots of time with my unruly daughter, and kept her on track! He's a good combination of fun/playful but also has a natural authority so that my daughter actually listens to his instruction. Well done and thank you Tyler!

I feel like I learned a lot in an hour and he really helped me find an anchor point that I can go back to if I am stuck on a note. I realized that he went over every proven method that I learned throughout my experiences from elementary school to highschool and then added on to them by explaining how these methods help. He even showed me methods usually taught to college musicians.
The reason I always believed in private lessons is because no matter how few or how many you take, the learning process gets expedited immensely.
I definitely would recommend this teacher for learning a brass instrument.
With my broad performance and compositional background in folk, classical, jazz, rock, bluegrass, soul, blues, and musical theater, I offer students a wide musical perspective and tailor lessons to match student interests. I work with students on music of their choosing to improve technique and develop an understanding of music theory, improvisation, and composition.
For classical guitar students who would like to pursue the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) graded exams, Mark offers coaching in preparation for all aspects of the practical exams.
I am a composer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter working in a variety of genres. I regularly perform around the Washington, DC, area as a solo guitarist, as a singer/songwriter, and with numerous classical, folk, rock, and musical theater groups. My primary musical influences include folk and world music, J.S. Bach, cool jazz, prog rock, American primitive, and contemporary guitar music.
I have recorded several CDs of my original compositions, including music for solo acoustic guitar, chamber music for classical banjo, and scores for live theater productions. I have also recorded and produced CDs of other recording artists.
I teach private and group lessons on guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, and bass guitar at my home studio in Maryland, at several area music schools, and online. With my broad performance and compositional back
ground, I offer students a wide musical perspective and tailor lessons to match student interests. I work with students on music of their choosing to improve technique and develop an understanding of music theory, improvisation, and composition. Mark has been a great teacher for this adult beginner! I take lessons in clawhammer banjo and ukulele with him, and his easy-going nature and skill in identifying ways to improve make it a joyful experience! Highly recommend.

Mr. Sylvester is one of the greatest. He is not just an amazing guitarist, but he is also very kind. He treats people with so much respect. He speaks to me and my mom so nicely. He is very patient. He has a deep knowledge of music and knows how to get the most out of even the least talented people (like me!). He doesn't ever get mad if you make a mistake or forget to bring your music notes. We were so lucky to find Mr. Sylvester.

Mark is a talented musician who plays and teaches multiple stringed instruments. His lessons are always informative and supportive. They are driven by the student’s interest, so anything you want o learn— styles of music, how to do a particular technique, music theory— you can bring to class. And every now and then he organizes a recital— terrifying but great practice!
This is my area of most comfort with guitar. I started playing guitar nearly 17 years ago. Let me teach you all that I have learned and picked up over the years and throughout the many styles we appreciate.
Can't wait to jam and teach you to play your favorite songs! I have over 15 years experience playing and teaching guitar.
Certification as a professional teacher in Florida.
I can show you how to improvise any scale or chord on the guitar without reading a single piece of music notation, tab, or chord chart, so that you can play the music that lives within you.
Maybe you want to become a songwriter, or a composer. Or maybe you just want to jam with friends or play your favorite songs by ear. Either way, the process is the same.
I can teach you to: ✅ Write your own songs and compose your own music ✅ Jam with friends ✅ Play any chord and scale on the fly even if you’ve never played it before ✅ Learn music theory by ear ✅ Recognize chords as clearly as you’d recognize colors ✅ Play freely and without restrictions in any musical key
Without: ❌ Studying “licks” ❌ Obsessing over complicated music theory ❌ Getting stuck on restrictive chord charts and scale patterns ❌ Doing exercises that don’t have musical context or application ❌ Learning other people’s music (unless you want to) ❌ Reading music notation, tabs, and chord charts
I am a songwriter and composer with an education in classical and jazz guitar,
I started playing 13 years ago, and have definitely had hit my share of plateaus along the way which led me to enrolling in music school.
In school, I learned a lot about the intellectual side of music, but I felt like I was always missing something. My professors would assure me that it'd click eventually, and it did.
I paid attention to the methodology of composers and jazz improvisers. I couldn't wonder help but wonder where the similarities were, and then it hit me like a ton of bricks. They learned music from the sounds themselves, not from theory books and classrooms. Then, taking inspiration from Miles Davis, I dropped out of music school and began my real education.
I am totally passionate about teaching, and I provide that spark that motivates my students into getting the best out of themselves.
I follow a modern customer-oriented approach based on win-win and long term success. The guitar student is an aspiring virtuoso, and I am as patient as possible with the students and following their own desires.
As long as he/she focuses on the image of the perfect player he/she wishes to become, I am committed to the full extend to motivate, encourage, help, assist, suggest improvements, correct mistakes, answer questions and everything that will speed up the student's ramp-up into becoming that perfect player.
Master professional guitarist with 25 years of experience playing a large variety of genres such as classical, blues, jazz, country, heavy-metal, flamenco, and more.
Cosmopolitan modern musician, songwriter, and improviser with a worldwide background including European, Latin, African, Middle-Eastern and Asian genres.
Exceptionally trained musical ears allowing seamless integration and pairing with bands and music setups.
Experienced guitar instructor and mentor focusing on achieving personal goals of each of my students coming from various skills, ages, backgrounds, and locations
Great band leadership and team-building skills based on goal driven and a win-win approach.
As a music guitar lover, I have been sharing my passion for my art gradually as soon as I ramped up my instrumental mastery. I have been free
lancing with guitar mentorship and tutorship for about 10 years now, and have had students from all over the world.
I mainly specialize in 2 types of students: - Entry level students who are just getting started. Sometimes these students don't even own an instrument, sometimes they barely know what a guitar is made of. - Players with a few years of playing guitar abilities who stalled for various reason: not enough practice, not enough motivation, bad habits initially acquired that hindered their progressions.
I can play a large variety of genres, from blues to jazz, metal to flamenco, classical to folk, etc. I stress on acquiring good habits early on while adapting to the student specific skills, or sometimes, limitations.
I usually group all guitar skills in 3 different categories: - Chords - Arpeggios - Solos I then break all the unique intricacies and specificities based on the student interest and existing skill. Everything else depends on the student's favorite genre. My standard procedure is to pick 3 songs from a genre that the student wants to play, ordered by level of difficulty, and break them down into fragments that subsequently constitute the homework for the next sessions.
My specialty is to make sure the student eventually becomes self-reliant and independent. I teach them the power of their ears. I teach them techniques to help them improve their ears to be able to play any song that they would like in the long term. There is a bit of theory involved, but it's mostly practice.
I am totally passionate about teaching, and I provide that spark that motivates my students into getting the best out of themselves.
I follow the students own desires. I use a modern customer-oriented approach based on win-win and long term success. The guitar student is an aspiring virtuoso. Best instructor ever
June 2, 2019
Mr. Allouch is an excellent instructor. For me, placing my fingers on the guitar is hard, but he taught me to put my fingers in a perpendicular position and to make sure to press hard on the string so it will make a good sound. Thanks to that advice, it is easier to play the notes correctly. He has made it fun for me to learn guitar. He is an excellent guitar player and I am very happy that he has shared his passion with me. Merci beaucoup Mr. Allouch!
"Chris is a great teacher. I met him in group lessons. And now I’m using him for personal lessons. It was a good lesson."
"I took guitar lessons from Greg for a year. I had a GREAT experience and HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who wants to learn to play."
"Dave is an awesome instructor who truly understands how to reach an adult learner like me. I have about 9 years experience playing acoustic guitar and was
worried about making the jump to electric. Dave is teaching me many of the steps I missed or thought I could work around. His knowledge of music theory, and more importantly, his ability to relay it to me in a practical/attainable manner has been invaluable. I've had several teachers before but Dave is really making it click. Also, I appreciate his approach to web-based materials so that I know exactly where to find answers outside of our sessions. I'll be a client as long as he'll have me and intend to have him teach my son guitar when the time is right!"
"Our teenage son connected with Jered right away, and it was an excellent first lesson. Aaparrently our son learned so much more in one private face to fa
ce lesson than online classes he's been doing for a month. ( This isn't online private/group lesson, it's a class with video lectures and exercises). Would definitely continue."
"I have been playing guitar for way too long to still be at the level that I am.. I suppose that says something about my practice habits. I also have plent
y of gaps in my knowledge. Morgan is really great at identifying where those gaps are and helping me past them in a way that is encouraging me to practice more often because the routine he gives me doesn't feel like practice."
"Amazing teacher and has a deep understanding of the instrument. I have improved more with these lessons than I have with any other instructor! Emi is easy
to work with and quick to identify the strengths and weaknesses in your play. Best music teacher you will find anywhere!"
"Marcela is an incredible teacher! She is really great at teaching the basics while working you up to playing styles of music that interest you. I'm really
excited for our next lesson!"
"Going back over a decade, I bought my first real guitar from Greg, an 80s Avila Rhoads. Over the years that followed, Greg taught me quite a bit in the w
ays of repair/maintainence as well as theory/sound scultping. The man is truly an inspiration. From the day his old shop opened, to now, Greg has always been a great teacher."
"Very patient and kind to my son (age 10). Excellent teacher. My son was excited to learn so much so quickly! Highly recommend him to both kids and adult
