Hi there! My name is Andy and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2002 and have loved helping my students to become good guitarists and musicians. I went to Berklee College of Music and earned a Bachelor of Music in 2002 (Magna Cum Laude).
I'm an open-minded and optimistic person. I have taught hundreds of students over the years and have developed a lot of my own teaching materials along the way. I'm very flexible in the way I teach and I always try to find out what type of learners my students are, so I can design a personalized practice plan for fast progress. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!
He was amazing! My son could not be happier. Super great guy and wonderful teacher.

Andy was my guitar instructor for more than year. He is a master in theory and practice and is able to bring you to the highest levels. The breath of learning opportunities he offers in terms of techniques, styles, rhythms, songs etc is huge and allows for training and development in the desired areas at every possible level. And he can back up the lessons by the underlying music theory as needed. In practice, Andy quickly spots where issues lie and provides useful hints to overcome technical problems. In addition he offers useful material which helps when practicing at home.

A job provides money. A career provides income over a longer term. But, guitar...guitar is part of who I am.
My passion for guitar and music has been alive as long as I can remember. Don't get me wrong, guitar and I had our ups and downs. Serious issues! At times guitar was stubborn and difficult. In fact, while attending the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago on the Presidential Scholarship in Classical Guitar Performance, there were days when I considered ending my relationship with guitar. But, I stayed with guitar. With dedication to our relationship and a lot of work, we are still together and happier than ever. And, here to help you work on your relationship with your guitar.
Areas of Focus: - Solo Skills & Improvisation - Music Theory - Technique - Learning Songs & Solos

Are you looking to learn Guitar, Singing, Beatboxing or Songwriting? No matter what style you are in to, I can help you build the skills, confidence, & practice strategies to become a successful musician. Beginners, Intermediate, & Advanced all welcome!
Majoring in classical guitar performance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts I was a part of many performance opportunities. These included solo classical guitar recitals, weekly performance class, a collaboration with the Columbia City Jazz Dance Company, and a performance at the Columbia Museum of Art to name a few. Now I frequently participate in songwriting showcases, street performances, and collaborati
ons with bands and music groups of many different genres.
In a lesson with me you will be focusing on four main areas:
1] REPERTOIRE: Songs you are working on in preparation for performance or just to play for fun! 2] MUSIC THEORY: Exercises in ear training, note-reading skills, sight-reading skills, and overall knowledge of how music works. 3] IMPROVISATION: Learn drills to improve solo skills and increase your confidence jamming with other musicians. 4] TECHNIQUE: Guitar lessons focuses on how to properly use the left and right hands in a way that that is relaxed and tension free. Voice lessons entail learning how to breath properly, prevent vocal strain, and expand your range.
In addition to instrument lessons I also provide Songwriting Lessons, Music Theory Lessons, and Music Performance Lessons for more advanced students + I teach Recording, Web Design, and Graphic Design subjects for Artists or others looking to learn how to promote themselves or their projects. (Subjects Include: Logic Pro X, WordPress, Web Design, Graphic Design, HTML, CSS, & More!)
Get started on your path to better musicianship today!
Any style at any experience level, I can help you be the player you want to be and learn more about your favorite players and genres of music.
My name is Tim C and I'm a music teacher at North Andover High School. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2016, majoring in Guitar Performance. I am well-educated and well-versed in many styles including blues, funk, R&B, classical, and rock. My only goal in teaching my students is to assist them in reaching their own goals and accomplishing what they want to achieve as a musician or guitar player.
I have been playing guitar as my main instrument for almost 20 years. I am a multi-instrumentalist who writes, records, and produces his own alternative/indie rock music (check me out on Spotify, Apple, Soundcloud, Amazon, Google!).
We can develop a lesson plan specifically for what you want to accomplish: covering your favorite songs, writing original songs, improvising, reading music/tabs, and "shredding".
Hello! My name is Taylor and I have been playing guitar since I was 10 (that puts me around 20 years experience at this point in my life). I have picked up singing, drums, piano, and bass since then. I write and record my own music in my own “studio” during free time from work. I occasionally will play cover sets at venues/events for $$$.
I have had 3-4 students in my life and I believe each has met their goals partly from my teaching, but mostly by their own commitment to put the time into practicing what I tell/show them. I have 1 student that just graduated ASU for guitar performance, and another student that writes/records/plays out with his band.
If you are willing to listen and put time in to what I ask you to practice then we should be able to accomplish what you are aiming for in music!
I am a recent Berklee College of Music graduate living in Chicago. At Berklee, I was the first rock/metal guitarist to receive the "Jimi Hendrix Award." This award is given to the best guitarist at the school. I've played and studied many styles of music ranging from classical, traditional, blues, country, rock, and metal. Besides teaching, I have a passion for songwriting and performance. Here in Chicago, I am currently playing with various bands and writing my own music. My teaching style is very "goal-oriented," and I will teach students to set short-term goals, medium goals, and then demonstrate to them how reaching the short and medium-term goals leads to accomplishing long-term goals. I envision teaching much like my teachings at Berklee where once my lesson was finished, I only wanted to go home and learn more. If you want to learn multiple styles from someone who is truly passionate about the instrument, I'm your guy!
Hello, my name is Michael! I have been playing guitar since I was 10-years old. Aside from being a teacher, performer, and songwriter, I would define myself as a "guitar nerd" because I love every aspect of playing. I still practice every day and have an insatiable hunger for new opportunities to play and learn. I have an encyclopedic knowledge of metal, rock, blues, country, and guitar. In my spare time, I enjoy writing music and playing more guitar. I graduated from Berklee in 2017, where I received the Jimi Hendrix Award. This is given to the best guitar player in the school. I was the first rock/metal guitar player to do so! I received instruction from world-class teachers such as Joe Stump and Norm Zocher. Besides teaching, I have a passion for songwriting and performance; while in Boston, I played and recorded with the melodic met
al band Black Trip. With Black Trip, I was fortunate enough to open up for such bands as Sabaton, Children of Bodom, Rhapsody of Fire, and Doro. Here in Los Angeles, I am currently teaching, playing with various bands, and working on my band's debut album.
I'm 2 lessons in and so far Michael has been a great teacher. He is exceptionally skilled and has a wealth of knowledge to share, as well as being very good at listening to what I am trying to accomplish and creating well thought out exercises to help me progress. Highly recommended!

I am totally passionate about teaching, and I provide that spark that motivates my students into getting the best out of themselves.
I follow a modern customer-oriented approach based on win-win and long term success. The guitar student is an aspiring virtuoso, and I am as patient as possible with the students and following their own desires.
As long as he/she focuses on the image of the perfect player he/she wishes to become, I am committed to the full extend to motivate, encourage, help, assist, suggest improvements, correct mistakes, answer questions and everything that will speed up the student's ramp-up into becoming that perfect player.
Master professional guitarist with 25 years of experience playing a large variety of genres such as classical, blues, jazz, country, heavy-metal, flamenco, and more.
Cosmopolitan modern musician, songwriter, and improviser with a worldwide background including European, Latin, African, Middle-Eastern and Asian genres.
Exceptionally trained musical ears allowing seamless integration and pairing with bands and music setups.
Experienced guitar instructor and mentor focusing on achieving personal goals of each of my students coming from various skills, ages, backgrounds, and locations
Great band leadership and team-building skills based on goal driven and a win-win approach.
As a music guitar lover, I have been sharing my passion for my art gradually as soon as I ramped up my instrumental mastery. I have been free
lancing with guitar mentorship and tutorship for about 10 years now, and have had students from all over the world.
I mainly specialize in 2 types of students: - Entry level students who are just getting started. Sometimes these students don't even own an instrument, sometimes they barely know what a guitar is made of. - Players with a few years of playing guitar abilities who stalled for various reason: not enough practice, not enough motivation, bad habits initially acquired that hindered their progressions.
I can play a large variety of genres, from blues to jazz, metal to flamenco, classical to folk, etc. I stress on acquiring good habits early on while adapting to the student specific skills, or sometimes, limitations.
I usually group all guitar skills in 3 different categories: - Chords - Arpeggios - Solos I then break all the unique intricacies and specificities based on the student interest and existing skill. Everything else depends on the student's favorite genre. My standard procedure is to pick 3 songs from a genre that the student wants to play, ordered by level of difficulty, and break them down into fragments that subsequently constitute the homework for the next sessions.
My specialty is to make sure the student eventually becomes self-reliant and independent. I teach them the power of their ears. I teach them techniques to help them improve their ears to be able to play any song that they would like in the long term. There is a bit of theory involved, but it's mostly practice.

Best instructor ever
June 2, 2019
Mr. Allouch is an excellent instructor. For me, placing my fingers on the guitar is hard, but he taught me to put my fingers in a perpendicular position and to make sure to press hard on the string so it will make a good sound. Thanks to that advice, it is easier to play the notes correctly. He has made it fun for me to learn guitar. He is an excellent guitar player and I am very happy that he has shared his passion with me. Merci beaucoup Mr. Allouch!
"Ahmad is fantastic. I have never touched a musical instrument in my life. After several lessons, Ahmad taught me to play music, read music, and appreciate
music. Ahmad is very knowledgeable, patient with his students, and just a cool guy that enjoys playing music and teaching music. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate level, or advanced level guitar player, everyone can benefit from Ahmad. Ahmad is the best!"
"He was amazing! My son could not be happier. Super great guy and wonderful teacher."
"Going back over a decade, I bought my first real guitar from Greg, an 80s Avila Rhoads. Over the years that followed, Greg taught me quite a bit in the w
ays of repair/maintainence as well as theory/sound scultping. The man is truly an inspiration. From the day his old shop opened, to now, Greg has always been a great teacher."
"I first got to talking with Zach back in 2015, I had been looking for an accomplished musician to play at my husbands birthday party. He did not disappoin
t! ! Everyone was very impressed with his music style and professionalism. Through that connection we got to talking, and I also learned that he teaches music all over the south bay! Years later now in 2019, My 16 year old son had been wanting to take electric guitar lessons, but we had not been finding a good fit with a teacher. My son is very smart and artistic, however struggles with a mild learning disability. I reached out to Zach, and we discussed giving it a try. Zach is very patient and breaks up the music information in a way that is very understandable for my son, and is hands on pointing out the best techniques to help him excel, and stay engaged. My son has been taking lessons from Zach once a week for a few months, and I cannot believe my sons progress!! He actually enjoys learning the guitar and is feeling very inspired to continue to learn more because he is learning to play all the songs he is interested in. MY son is now teaching me how to play some new songs..I am thankful to Zach for empowering my son to unlock his musical ability and keeping him interested in learning in a stress free environment. Zach although very professional, he is a relaxed teacher, and very relatable to young people, teens and young adults which I think makes lessons fun! I am very picky about who teaches my kids, and Zach I would say checks off all the right boxes!!"

"Dave is an awesome instructor who truly understands how to reach an adult learner like me. I have about 9 years experience playing acoustic guitar and was
worried about making the jump to electric. Dave is teaching me many of the steps I missed or thought I could work around. His knowledge of music theory, and more importantly, his ability to relay it to me in a practical/attainable manner has been invaluable. I've had several teachers before but Dave is really making it click. Also, I appreciate his approach to web-based materials so that I know exactly where to find answers outside of our sessions. I'll be a client as long as he'll have me and intend to have him teach my son guitar when the time is right!"
"Dave's lessons are solid and fun. He has the ability to turn something overwhelming into manageable steps. I also appreciate that he pays attention to my
playing and emphasizes good forms. Great teacher."
"Joe is a great guy and musician, a really easy person to work with, talk to, and hang with. Most importantly he is an extraordinary musician, he knows his
stuff, and he knows how to communicate it to a student. His knowledge spans far beyond a pro and his teaching skills surpass many "professional" teachers I have worked with in the past. Nothing but a joy every lesson. Joe has opened my eyes to what the fretboard displays harmonically. I am grateful for what he has given me. Thanks Joe!"
