Great first day!

I recently started taking lessons with Kenny to try to learn some basic lead guitar in a one on one setting. I've been very impressed with his preparation, taking the time to tailor the lesson to my level of play and the music I am interested in playing. He also is very encouraging and is interested in my learning and progress, even going beyond the one hour lesson time to ensure that I have the tools necessary to continue to work at home.

I am a recent Berklee College of Music graduate living in Chicago. At Berklee, I was the first rock/metal guitarist to receive the "Jimi Hendrix Award." This award is given to the best guitarist at the school. I've played and studied many styles of music ranging from classical, traditional, blues, country, rock, and metal.
Besides teaching, I have a passion for songwriting and performance. Here in Chicago, I am currently playing with various bands and writing my own music. My teaching style is very "goal-oriented," and I will teach students to set short-term goals, medium goals, and then demonstrate to them how reaching the short and medium-term goals leads to accomplishing long-term goals. I envision teaching much like my teachings at Berklee where once my lesson was finished, I only wanted to go home and learn more. If you want to learn multiple styles from someone who is truly passionate about the instrument, I'm your guy!

5 star teacher - coach and mentor - Great patience for a beginner like myself - never played before but now I’m comfortable easing into lessons - he shows you why your playing and then guides you through the lessons at your own pace - he also has the latest technologies to help - like overhead screens and sheet music that you can understand- I just signed up for another discount series of 7 lessons - I never give reviews but in this case if I can help someone who us not sure were to start - he is the perfect instructor-

"My son was given a guitar by a family member and showed variable interest until Greg started to teach him - Greg has woven elements of what my son needs to learn to improve with how these elements are used by some of the biggest and best guitarists ever and really changed practice from being a chore to something that can be fun. This is the way Greg said he would teach and he’s sticking very much to it! A great instructor that my son really enjoys going to - thanks Greg!!"
