Advanced/serious singers welcome, experienced teenagers & adults welcome to write me and see if we are a good fit. My studio mainly consists of advanced, professional singers as well as college students pursuing Music Degrees and high school students preparing for school whom are very active in their music/choral/band/orchestra/theater programs.

About Me as a Teacher:

I’m a dramatic soprano living in Germany, currently pursuing my Master’s Degree at the Hochschule Franz Lizst in Weimar. I have done a lot of work on my technique through the years - having a voice type that is by definition high maintenance, I have a lot of insight into technique as the training for this type of voice is extensive by necessity. As a bass opera singer and professional voice over artist, I am dedicated to creating a healthy and beautiful sound with my own voice and the voices of my students. I will not come into our lessons saying there is a single way to sing. In fact, many genres require a great deal of varying vocal techniques and stylized voices. What I will do is help to lay a foundation in healthy singing so that you feel comfortable singing any genre. We will start by ensuring that your breath and vowel placement feels comfortable and from there move into repertoire of your choosing or some that I recommend based upon your interests. You will leave your tenure with me empowered to continue your passion and career for singing long after your lessons end. Music is meant to be shared. Together, we will help you to share the music and passion that you hold so dear.

Healthy and age appropriate teaching of classical technique

Grammy Award winning singer, stage performer, recording artist, actor and teacher. Classically trained, international opera singer, soprano. Highly knowledgable in vocal technique, breathing, and repertoire in classic literature as well as musical theatre, pop, standards, and jazz. Past students have performed world-wide, on Broadway, Opera and Symphonic stages, in concert with bands and numerous recording studios. ***I work with students to help them understand their instrument, build a healthy vocal technique that works within the style of singing they are interested in. Lessons consist of vocal exercises and work on repertoire/songs. I play piano and accompany my students either live or through an accompaniment track that I record. I accept students age 10 and above, at all levels of study. I am personable, fun, and patient, and want my students be the best singer they can be!***

25 years of teaching voice has given me the joy of helping singers of all ages and abilities realize their full vocal potential. As a vocal technician, my approach to teaching is based on the principles of vocal science, as well as my own proven theories. My students not only increase their range, vocal strength and develop a better tone, many of them have gone on to perform in major theaters throughout the nation. Whether you are a musical theater, opera, rock, jazz or pop singer, my technique will help you trust your voice and free you to be creatively expressive.
