I've taught vocal training to children, teens, and adults in the US and abroad since 2006 and my students are working! My Masters degree training has afforded me the opportunity to be well versed in effective vocal techniques. My main goal is to help you to develop your own set of tools, and better understand your unique voice. Make sure to wear clothing you can move in during our sessions, and, most importantly, explore and just have fun!

I focus on creating a safe and free sound. Alignment is the basis a great technique. Each person is different, and knowing how to help them release unwanted tension is critical.

The vocal folds are the core of the sound, and must be given the utmost care and consideration. Proper hydration is essential. They are also muscles, that need strengthening exercises and time for them to change. This will improve your vocal endurance and range. As a highly trained voice teacher, I can hear if the vocal folds are behaving in a healthy and efficient manner. It is essential that your teacher understand how to care for these delicate components of the human voice.

I am an opera and musical theatre performer with years of teaching experience. I offer voice lessons for all genres and abilities, beginning piano lessons, and acting coachings.

I am trained and have experience in opera, musical theatre, pop music, and other genres, and I am eager to teach students of all ages and abilities! I aim to facilitate a positive, enjoyable learning environment that is constructive and productive.

My students have performed in professional and community theatre productions, have won local competitions, and have been invited to national auditions. I have music directed several musicals and summer camps, including Annie and Captain Louie.

I teach from a very technical standpoint. Form and function, physicality, and basic science can teach you a lot about singing properly. My goal is to get the student to a point where they can teach themselves when they build their voice and the lesson becomes a weekly or monthly check in of the progress. As singers we want good results, but we have to focus on the process and the result will follow on its own correctly without forcing the result we want. This process of optimal sound and beautiful tone can take some time, but when the steps are taken correctly, the results become ideal.

After my professional opera experiences for many years, frankly I can say that you can't loose the child of your inside that makes you different than the others. During my education process, I realized that the key of loving your work was also related to your instructors. Being a mentor, leading a way of something that will reflect someone's life is so precious and requires some responsibilities and solid background. When I was a student, I was always passionate about looking to work with the best teachers, I was extremely interested in learning something new. Hi, I’m Julia, and welcome to my studio! I’m an experienced voice teacher currently working toward my Master’s degree in Vocal Pedagogy at New England Conservatory. I specialize in building a strong technical foundation for all styles in singers of any age - whether you want to sing in choir, audition for a musical, or train for college auditions in classical voice. My approach to teaching is grounded in scientific knowledge of how the voice works and my own experience as a performing artist, so in every lesson, you’ll have fun AND see results. Piano and songwriting coaching is also available in hour lessons.
