To whom much is given, much is expected this quote impeccably describes LadySonya, an extraordinary talent in the Music Industry with an aspiration to use her skills to chase her dreams while inspiring others as well. LadySonya currently instructs piano lessons to aspiring music producers/artists as well as major music producers & artists in the industry, LadySonya Music Studio, in Atlanta, Ga. Just after starting the company in March 2008, LadySonya has consulted with numerous celebrity producers/artist such as Fat Boi, Kyron Leslie, Justice League, and others who have worked on tracks from artists such as Usher, Travis Porter, Jody Breeze, Young Money, and more with the assistance of her networking skills and knowledge base structure of Music Theory. Nevertheless, it is her remarkable story of faith, dedication, and sacrifice that has g
enuinely defined the young professional, what lures many to her, and why she remotely continues to build her influential empire as a true business lady.
In 2007, LadySonya, a Georgia Peach native from Columbus, Georgia, and transfer student from Troy University to Georgia State University, began her life shift of miserably working 2-3 part-time jobs to prosper through college. In less than one year of living in Atlanta, LadySonya quit her part-time job as stock for Ross Department Store and decided to follow her dreams of being in the music industry. With no money saved, nothing but a Radio-Shack 76-key keyboard, and one year of college experience, she decided to start her own business of teaching piano lessons. She found a contracted job to teach at Tarang School of Music & Arts, Suwanee, Georgia, and began to make her infamous mark. LadySonya also found various online sites to assist with marketing her newly established company. Many supporters on social media such as face book & twitter began to take notice of LadySonya's swift entrepreneurial progression and in May of 2009 LadySonya held her 1st annual Spring Recital for LadySonya Music Studio Company. The event inspired 75+ guests. Once the company began to bloom more she began to hold recitals twice a year, one in May and the other in December, filling the venue with up to 150+ guest per show. In 2011, LadySonya decided to take her name to the next level by writing her life story testimony of how she went through 7 part-times jobs in one year span along with almost giving up everything to move back to Columbus. During the summer months of 2011 LadySonya organized her very own Network (iNetworkDoYou) to help aspiring entrepreneur/music industry by encouraging them to gain valuable information to help them along the way.
Often mistaken for a fashion model, LadySonya is a celebrity piano instructor, with a lively girl next door attitude. However anyone views her, this young lady is establishing her brand as a music mogul, exercising her inner power to become highly successful.
It is dedication, drive, and determination that lead the role-model LadySonya to reach out to her numerous supporters and fans by creating an Annual Vision Board Extravaganza (2012) to empower others to reach follow their dreams, annually host two music recitals for the students to grow out of being shy musicians, create Lady University Movement to mentor young & older ladies desiring to be leaders, and assemble frequently as a motivational speaker and panelist as a entrepreneur inspirational expert.
Shut Up and Drive is the mental note that pushed LadySonya to the next level to be more than a piano teacher, but a business lady with ongoing dreams of being the next Oprah, with a diva attitude as Beyonce, and musician skills of Alicia Keys. She works day in and day out to build her empire of being a role model- I am LadySonya.
With strong family & spiritual backbone, LadySonya believes her ultimate purpose in life is to indeed inspire others to stay focused. Her alter-ego LadySonya is known to give you that extra boost of confidence and internal drive to set goals and achieve them. However you view LadySonya, as a musician, artist, entrepreneur, model or even social networker, know that she is on top of her business/brand and she's working hard to touch lives like never before with making her dreams come to reality.

*** Lesson Details *** What students can expect from the lesson is "learning".
I am a very relaxed, fun, and motivated teacher. I teach everything from classical to gospel to country to pop music. One thing you will find out from my lessons are you are "learning" rather than "memorizing". Lessons are structured to the students needs. I put my all into the lesson to the last minute or maybe run a minute over but at the end I know I've done my job!
I like to make it fun, so I encourage students to bring in music they would like to learn even if I have to simplify it a bit!
I also try to teach different tricks to learn the theory.
LadySonya is amazing!! I havent played the piano in probably over 10 years, and only played the piano by memorizing music, not truly learning. However, after just my first lesson with LadySonya, I was learning music theory and actually practiced a few songs playing by ear! I've learned more in this one session than I've learned after years of taking lessons. I cant wait to see how far I can go with this!
No matter what your goals, our lessons together will be the starting place to achieving them. Not only is the studio a supportive, nurturing place to learn about singing, but it's also a place to have FUN learning about what you are passionate about, MUSIC!
In our first lesson we will learn a little about each other. I will ask what your goals are, what your experiences are, and what you are looking to get out of our lessons together. I will also give you the opportunity to ask about my experience as a singer and as a teacher so you have a better understanding where I am coming from as well.
I believe that the most important foundation of healthy singing is proper breath support. I have many exercises that will help you find the breath support you need for healthy singing. Whether it's Opera, Broadway, Jazz or Pop, the same breathing techniques apply.
We will work on a whole range of singing exercises that will help you improve your range (so those high notes don't seem
Originally from Kentucky, I earned my Masters Degree at the Eastman School of Music, studied voice for 23 years with World Renowned Soprano Rita Shane and and several years with master teacher Bill Schuman. I have since sung leading roles all over the world with such companies as the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House at Covent Garden, The San Francisco Opera, and the Semperoper in Dresden Germany. Let my 20+ years of professional singing and stage experience help you achieve your goals to become the best singer and performer that you can be!
I've had the great honor to work with young singers at various opera companies where I've been a principal artist, and to have given masterclasses at places such as the CoOperative program at Westminster Choir College, Wingate University, Texas Women's University, and University of TX a
I am friendly, supportive and encouraging, and I take great pride in being the best teacher that I can be for my students. If you are just finding out that you want to be a singer, or if you have been in the business for years, I know that I can help you realize your potential!
I have an M.M. in vocal performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts and have extensive operatic training. I teach an open throat technique (appoggio) that allows the singer to sing with freedom, and access their entire range evenly. I also work with students to develop style, interpretation, languages, and acting ability.
I have extensively studied vocal performance for many years and continue to add to my own technique. I have a Master of Vocal Performance Degree from the Chicago College of Performing Arts. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, where I extensively studied the anatomy of the voice. I am the founder of BAWS Studio where we train artists in all aspects of performance (singing, songwriting, recording, piano, and guitar). I previously worked for a recording studio (Sound Summit Studios in Naperville IL) where I teach voice and help singers record their music in the studio. I have previously taught at The School of Rock in Indianapolis Indiana. I have administered vocal lessons to every voice type at all different levels. Several of my students have recored albums and are currently performing all over the World.
I have a bachelors
degree in biology with a minor in art. After graduating college, I was a full-time high school biology teacher, volleyball coach, and director of the school musical. As a high school teacher, I learned first hand the kind of pressure and expectations that are placed on students in order for them to succeed. In college, I was the head student researcher on a two-year lab project. I took several upper level science courses including: biochemistry, calculus, organic chemistry, calculus based physics, cell biology, anatomy, and physiology. I studied marine biology in the Virgin Islands and am CPR certified.
*** Lesson Details *** Voice lessons with me are fun and effective. You can expect to hear improved technique from day one, eventually reaching your long term goals. I begin every lesson aligning the students voice through various vocal warm ups and exercises. We then work together to pick repertoire that will suit the singer's voice and they will enjoy singing. During a lesson we will also cover performance presentation, acting, diction, rhythm, musicality, style, and interpretation.
During tutoring you can expect a personalized plan based on your goals and aspirations. Since every student is different you can be assured we will come up with a plan that is designed just for you. I am a laid back tutor but will be sure to get the most out of you after our time together. Most students see at least a one letter grade improvement. My main goal for every tutoring session is student learning and comprehension.
*** Studio Equipment *** Piano, recording equipment, large collection of sheet music
*** Specialties *** I specialize in helping students find their true singing voice.
Phenomenal. Gets to the point, is great at demonstrating, and provides feedback you can work off of.

So far, lessons with Ben have been VERY good (and productive! I'm naturally a reserved person, but He has gotten me to push beyond my comfort zone (that is "be louder"), which in retrospect has also helped me build my confidence in other areas. So at this point I look forward to having lessons, because I am growing in my understanding of how to use this God-given gift; a gift that's meant to be shared (not hidden away in silence).
I took classical vocal training lessons for 10 years, was a voice major in my university studies, and have sung various styles, from opera to broadway, to classical and gospel. In teaching voice, I employ a variety of techniques (breathing exercises, vocalises, vocal health tips, etc) to empower a new singer to first explore and understand their voice, and then strengthen and expand it. I always prioritize my students’ vocal health, and customize lesson exercises to their unique needs. Every voice is one-of-a-kind. Whether you’re just starting to discover your voice, or have been singing for a while, come uncover your vocal prowess!
In May 2011, I graduated from Texas Woman's University with my Bachelor's Degree in Music and a minor in Business Management. Music has been my passion since before I started taking piano lessons in third grade, and there was always an innate desire to master the keys. At age fifteen, I taught myself how to play guitar and started writing songs. In 2013, I became a published songwriter when my songs were produced on my church's Christmas Album ("Who Is This King?").
I have been teaching private piano lessons part-time from my home in Colleyville for seven years, and have instructed over 150 students. I have been blessed to be teaching full-time since January 2017, and it has been a dream come true to be able to invest all my time and energy into the precious gifts of my students. My students range from young beginners to intermediate a
nd advanced students, to beginner and moderate adults. Teaching is my greatest passion, whether it's of the classical genre, theory mastery, or equipping a student to use their gifts in worship.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions and I will be happy to discuss. I believe with you that you'll find just the right instructor to impart to your family!

I accept students of all musical backgrounds beginner to professional. All styles of repertoire are encouraged (classical, musical theatre, pop) My teaching methods use posture and breathing techniques, influenced in part by Yoga and the Alexander Technique. I strive to help with better body awareness, tension free singing and exciting exploration of musicality. I also work with my students on stage presence, phrasing and style to help them deliver their best performance, connect to the joy of singing and the fun of making music! I can help you start from the very beginning, refresh your skills, gain confidence, and fine tune old and new material. It's time to get to work!

Want to learn how to grow and develop your own naturally existing instrument (aka, your very own voice)? Want to be able to go into a karaoke event and kill it? Want to step up on stage at your talent show and hit them with your best shot? Or do you simply want to be able to get your voice to do what you want it to do? Whatever your reason for wanting to improve your singing voice I can help you get there.
Hello there! My name is Ariel. I graduated from the University of Jamestown with a Bachelors in Music Education and Flute performance. I am primarily a flute family specialist: piccolo, flute, Alto and Bass flute are all in my wheelhouse. Through my years of schooling I have learned many other instruments and also am very skilled in voice, so I am qualified to teach most categories. I taught in the North Dakota Public School system in very small school districts for several years. My greatest strength while teaching was working one on one with each individual to get my students to a much higher level of playing and musicianship. I truly believe meeting each individual where they currently are and going from there is the best policy for growing as musician.
I also believe that in order to be the best teacher I can be I must continue to
grow as a musician as well. So, I too continue to work to improve my skills, and play with great ensembles to keep my skills sharp and ever growing. At the moment I play in 4 different community ensembles around the state of North Dakota and also participate annually in IMC's Adult Community Music Camp. Typically you will find me playing the flute and piccolo, but occasionally I pick up the Tenor Sax to play in Jazz combo, and when the season is right you will find me lugging around my Euphonium to play all of the Regional Tuba Christmas Events in North Dakota annually and from time to time I play in brass choirs. I truly believe the act of making music with an ensemble is a major key to success and fulfillment on your journey as a musician.
I took flute lessons from Ariel a couple years ago. Ariel plays flute beautifully. I was a beginning student and she was very knowledgeable about teaching flute, very encouraging and I got a good foundation in playing flute from her. I would highly recommend Ariel as a teacher. She also made it fun.

Ms. Oster was the best music instructor my Grandson ever had, he plays the Trumpet and plays it still today. She introduced him to the International Music a camp that is held at The Peace Gardens during the summer. Ms. Oster was the most positive influence on him to date. I often wish she could work with him again. It is a privilege and an honor to give her a review..thank you

She's a good instructor on how to play an instrument quickly. Her optimism is very nice. Has very good patience. I would recommend her.
I have been teaching for 20 years, and enjoy teaching students of all ages and experience levels. Classical, jazz, musical theater, gospel, pop... I have experience both teaching and singing multiple genres.
I love to sing! I have made it my goal for over 20 years to share my passion for music as well as my knowledge with my students. I teach many different genres of music and want my students to enjoy their music while they are learning and growing as musicians. I teach all levels of voice and beginning/intermediate piano.
Your voice is your very own unique instrument. Singing is ultimately about expression and communication, and I believe healthy vocal technique helps us to do that effectively! Drawing on my years of teaching and performing classical repertoire, I work with you on tone production, breath support, diction, listening skills, and expression to help you achieve your classical singing goals. My areas of expertise are art song and opera, but I also have experience with classical and contemporary musical theatre. I emphasize the importance of embracing the process of learning to sing and having fun with it! Whether you want to explore your range, learn a specific song, gain confidence singing in front of others, explore vocal health strategies, or prepare for an audition, I'm here to help. Let's work together!

"Lauren was very helpful and friendly! Her positive attitude made it easier for me to believe in myself."
"I am so excited about my voice lessons. I am a university trained classical singer with extensive operatic and art song experience who wanted to get back
to singing after a long absence. I was looking for a teacher that could help me to navigate the changes in my voice due to the aging process and provide me with the tools to steady a vibrato that had gotten out of hand. Michelle and Robert are exactly what I needed. They have extensive and commanding knowledge of the voice and support mechanism and teach from the Italian “Bel Canto School” perspective. That is to say pure vowels, open throated but focused sound and a healthy, low laryngeal position. I am loving my voice again and it has only been 3 lessons. They are exceptional at finding the beauty in the individual voice and not requiring a “carbon copy” sound. One of the best things about my lessons is that they complement each other as teachers and find a number of ways to facilitate a natural and beautiful sound by articulating suggestions in many and varied ways. If the student is unable to reproduce the desired outcome by one method, they will find another way to achieve it. Not one minute of a lesson is wasted and each week brings quick and substantial progress. It has been a joy to work with them and I look forward to each lesson and the progress they bring. In short, I am thrilled."
"Tony has renewed in me a love of music that had been soured by previous experience. He has an uncanny ability to unlock the sounds I have in my head and
bring them to life. Again, reality imitates art."
"I highly recommend Sarabeth to anyone interested in singing, whether you have already had some background in voice or you are just starting out.
eth is a truly amazing voice teacher!!! She led me step by step through many vocal exercises and taught me many a great classical song! Her patience and encouragement were ever present at each lesson as I stumbled through the classical songs which were written in other languages.
I have SMA type 1-2, a severely debilitating and progressive disease, and my lung capacity was 24% of normal when Sarabeth started teaching me. Under her guidance, I was able to increase my lung capacity to 28%! Believe me when I say that this is not supposed to happen to people with SMA. In general our lung capacities continue to decrease as the disease progresses until we need to be placed under mechanical ventilation. The most common mode of death for people with SMA is respiratory failure.
I am deeply saddened that Sarabeth is moving away to Los Angeles and will no longer be able to be my singing teacher, but wishing her the best of luck there!!! I will always remember her as the incredibly wonderful teacher she is!"
"Rachelle has been absolutely wonderful for my daughter as she's prepared for her college vocal audition. Within the small town she lives in, my daughter d
idn't have access to quality vocal instruction, so finding Rachelle was such a blessing. I was very skeptical at the thought of online lessons, but the quality of instruction and convenience is great. I had a good experience with customer service from takelessons.com too - I had an issue with receiving emails (on my end, not theirs) so I reached out to them to switch to a different email which they did immediately, and then they called me back to confirm I'd received everything I needed."
"Very professional, easy to work with."
"Rachel very good My daughter loved I"
"Joanne was so professional, and yet she made me feel at ease right away. It was a nice balance. What a great teacher!"
